I personally do not care. Just makes for some interesting games between us teams in the east. I do not like the fact that the east has more teams then the west though.

Gives the wings a better chance to win more games imo.

Yeah, it really doesn't make sense unless expansion is coming in next season...

As for Detroit. It will be awesome to see Datsyuk more. At the same time, it will suck to see Datsyuk more.

Love it, been waiting a long time for it. Should be fun with less tight checking, also leave behind a lot of the massive two-way centers in the West, I am sure Datsyuk and Zetterberg are pumped about it.

I like it as a Bruins fan. More competition and the games between us have always been great. Potential for a rivalry, or at least some interesting games.

Completely ambivalent... I don't think it will make much of a difference. They were a playoff team in the west and they have a good chance to be one in the east. I don't hold the view that they are suddenly going to start tearing the league apart like its 1998 because they moved to east. If I were a Detroit fan I would be stoked due to less road games starting at 10 or 1030 at night, however.

Also - I echo the thoughts of earlier posters that the uneven divisions are kind of ridiculous.

Don't really care personally.

If I was a wings fan I would be happy. Much more entertaining hockey out East, imo.

Absolutely love it. I get fired up every Leaf vs. Red Wings game and i couldnt be happier that they are going to happen more often.

Pretty pissed about Columbus coming over though, this 16 to 14 team conferences are stupid especially considering the inevitable expansion into Quebec City that'll push them back anyway.

Wests pretty wide open compared to the east. Besides the flyers and now Washington again most teams play tight defensive games.

Will be hard for the Isles maintain their record of only losing once or twice to the Red Wings in the last decade. Dislike.

I just can't wait for the Wings to finish with about as many points as they had last year and then people will realize the Eastern Conference plays professional hockey just like the West does.

Couldn't be happier. You don't have 25,373 posts without diving into a few cans and coming out hours later with some hair on your chest.

They'll be better than Toronto. Tornonto loss too much and will continue to lose Franson and Fraser. They're a bubble team.

I love it!

So glad to have the Wings in our division. I can't wait to see the Leafs in Detroit.

The Windsor-Montreal 401 corridor (+Buffalo) is just too perfect for a division.
