Can't wait to see Kane and Toews point totals next year if the Hawks coaching staff can just figure out that god awful Power Play.

Kane's better in his opinion, he said. Toews is simply, objectively, honestly better than Tavares at this time. This has nothing to do with us being Hawks fans or you being an Islanders fan.

How come some fans earlier in the year said Hossa was better than Toews? They both play on the same line, doesn't that make them both better players playing together?

Tavares doesn't have anyone CLOSE to better than him on his line or the team, that's kind of a big deal imo.

That's crazy!!!!!!!!!!

I hate the Islanders with a passion, but let's be honest, here... Tavares is the best of that bunch. To argue against it...is to not really actually WATCH them play.
Tavares isn't the complete player that Toews is. I 'WATCH' them play and Toews is the biggest reason why the Blackhawks are the best team in the NHL, his defense and vision on the ice is unbelieveable. Why don't we wait until Tavares helps his team win even a playoff series if he is so great. Don't give me that team sport crap, he is always fauned upon on here and he should accomplish something first.

How did the Isles even make the playoffs last season with Tavares playing with the worst supporting cast of all time?

Hossa was doing better than Toews early in the season. And Tavares had 3 more points than Moulson.

Toews > Hall > Kane > Tavares.

You're certainly entitled to your opinion and that is really all it is. There are no statistics that you can rely on to support your opinion.

I'm entitled to my opinion though too. I feel pretty good that I have statistics to support my opinion.

Why would I be upset? I'm feeling pretty good about things ... even this ridiculous poll.

Because no one actually backs it up with facts? It's just excuses as to why he hasn't lived up to the hype he had pre-draft. Line mates, team, etc. etc. etc.

Potential doesn't make someone better. I feel like I've been hearing how Kopitar, for example, was going to put up 90-100 points before every season since after his rookie season. It was always the system, the coach, the line mates, the team was bad, etc. But here we are and he's yet to reach that level despite being on a great team with great depth and a great coach, etc. Just because people see that as a player's potential, doesn't mean they'll reach it (if that's even their potential) and it certainly doesn't make it them a better player right now. Maybe in the future and I wouldn't be surprised there.

I still don't know how anyone could put Tavares on the level of Crosby or Malkin or Stamkos and I see that on here.

Is this what you resort to when you don't have a convincing argument?

Just change the subject, right?

lol settle down. To be honest the biggest reason they made the playoffs down the stretch was because of the 2nd line, Bailey-Nielsen-Okposo

Tavares is really running away with this one, huh?

I'm sensing a lot of hurt butts in this thread.

lol please don't tell me Moulson is close to Tavares. Going by that comment you kind of lost all my respect to you if you think it's even remotely close.
