I was gonna say how small Ruwhedel looked compared to the rest of that roster but then Cat skated into the picture and I changed my mind. The guys 5'10 and looks puny out there, but then again so did half CBJ's roster. I forsee no one referring to the Sabres roster as a collection of small woodland creatures in near future.

Zadorov plays well enough to get gushed on by PHam and a star from Baker and the first thing he says in his interview is "I can play so much better." In the words o Bob Dylan, the times they are a changin.

Not sure, it wasn't really streamed anywhere, Garth says he was playing well, moving his feet and playing physically. Even playing PK time and was out at the end of the game. Garth is the biggest Sabre homer though.

I also want to know how Armia did.

No, they're not. They should have a condensed game up on BSU afterwards though. The highlight package for their first game was 12:51 in length.

Touched on how he was watching, particularly who performed above expectations.

Catenacci as oft-mentioned 200' player, using speed to get to loose pucks and was consistently around the play/forcing things.

Larsson-Girgensons in the middle or just simply at forward.

Armia, liked what he saw, play away from the puck and involvement with his body, just missed on a chance, etc...

Austin-Ruhwedel as the "top pair" playing with the Catenacci-Larsson-Armia line, Ruhwedel's smarts and simple game, etc...

Zadorov assessed with a chuckle and calling him mean. Contract totals (14 D under contract right now) are an issue though they may sign and slide his deal. Praised the Knights.

Ristolainen may not start in the AHL.

Yeah I think he either beats one of the other guys out with a great camp, or plays one more year in Finland.

He says "like" a lot

For those who know the man, I think you could hear KB's morning Starbucks there for a time. He talks fast as it is... add some caffeine and he's blazingly fast to chat with.

Dang, was hoping to watch some hockey today. I can't believe the NHL network isn't picking it up. I guess they feel playoff replays draw better ratings...frustrating. I feel like NFL, NBA, and MLB networks would all show this if it was their respective sports. NBA shows D-League and summer ball for sure.

Highly doubtful 'Garth' was anywhere near that arena.
