This could actually be a good signing. It might be good for Penner to venture back to his roots.

It would be interesting to see him skate with Getzlaf and Perry again.

anaheim lost because corey perry didn't score a goal, and jonas hiller was thoroughly mediocre. they had a chance to put detroit away but neither 1 of them stepped up

Well crap, I will now actually like a player on the ducks. Here's to hoping the ducks lose every game but Penner pot 40 this year.

Make sure to add him to Twitter duck fans. The guy is an absolute riot.

Penner-Getzlaf-Perry
Silf-Bonino-Palmieri
Cogliano-Koivu-Etem
Beleskey-Holland-Winnik
Rakell, Nosesen, Maroon, Staubitz, Karlsson, Kerdiles, Laganiere

That depth

Penner FINALLY getting paid close to what he's worth.

As a Ducks fan, ..for the price, I'm OK with the low risk gamble. Maybe playing with his buds again will bring out a little more effort.

I seriously doubt he gets on the top line.

As others have wrote in the Ducks subforum, I would rather have Maroon play than Penner.

With so many young players I would want to squash all non-motivated/lazy, whining to the refs etc. players. Boudreau did a good job with changing many things (much less whining than before), I would hate that he would let certain things slide...

In any case, we can enjoy a new year of "random line generator".

Based on fit, I'd say that's where he is tried first. Silf would be an option there but Penner seems like a better for for Getz and Perry than Palmieri and Bones.

Can we stay on topic? Everyone should be happy. A actual hockey transaction may happen!

Likely because you don't know that much about Anaheim's youth.

how can silfverberg be small? he is 6'1" and 194 lbs.

Pretty much figured this would happen. Money seems about right.

Ducks will now have to upgrade the chairs in the press box, though.

I don't think they are small, but average is probably more likely.

A few thoughts

The loss of Penner would be a lot harder for the Kings to take if they didn't have so many players ready to take over... like Clifford... Frattin... Pearson... Holloway (Heavy sarcasm)

If he only goes for 2 mill I'm going to shut off my lap top and go outside.... hahahha ok probably not...

Can't wait for the Kings to play angry Penner and see Penner separate Williams shoulder.

Thought about maybe watching a Ducks game, but just remembered they got Brain Haward... don't get it... Duck's games might be watchable if they didn't have that guy announcing them... Anyone else enjoy listening to Haward on the Kings cup run... good job NBC... Almost as good as that Kings Clippers broadcast...

1 year...perhaps he re-signs with the Kings after the cap goes up.
