Yep. Those concussions scare me at his age. I could see Clifford being a 20-20 guy in the right setting. Don't see it here. I we can sign a pest ala Carcillo and then get a LW for the 2nd line for Clifford. Do it.

Very happy to move Carcillo. Can be effective in spurts, but he's just so dumb.

I could see him being a 30-35 point player, but he's only 22 and has been jacked up in fights quite a few times. He's slowing down on the fighting a little bit but all it takes is one fight for him to get another concussion. The other problem is that we've tried giving him a top six role for games at a time and he wasn't able to produce.

MAY... Not sure, just hearing that that MAY have happened.

Clifford glad to get away from East & Hawk's bully Corey Crawford

I'm fairly sure you're not a true NHL fan if you don't hate Carcillo. Seriously, even fans of his own team usually hate him. He sucks and it was awful to see him lift the cup this year.

he was quite effective early on this season while everyone else (aside from Carter) was nowhere to be found. i believe he was on the 2nd line then? i could be wrong

He has a little bit of a skill-set but he takes way too many dumb penalties on top of being a big time target for the refs at least that's the best way to describe him during his days in Philly.

He was the one current Blackhawk that I could never quite warm up to. Didnt like the signing as he was such a jackhat on Philly in the Cup against us & pretty much his whole career.. He toned his act down some and was a little effective two years ago but after he injured his knee, he never regained his speed and was not very effective. And still takes dumb penalties.

I tried to like him but I am kind of glad he is not with the Hawks anymore & not just for salary cap reasons.

Why? He doesn't offer anything LA doesn't already have.

Some potential to be a good 3rd or 4th liner but gets goofy at times and is an embarrassing diver. Even M Richards would have a hard time recommending him unless he was assured that Carcillo was going to do an about face on his style of play. if so, he might be effective at the positions mentioned.

Dan Carcillo Traded to Kings For Conditional Pick

LOS ANGELES The Los Angeles Kings have acquired forward Daniel Carcillo from the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for a conditional pick in the 2015 NHL Draft, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.

FROM KINGS

Carcillo, 27, has spent the last two seasons with the Blackhawks. In 23 games last season, he had three points (2-1=3) and 11 penalty minutes. In four postseason games with Chicago he had one assist and six penalty minutes.

Prior to joining the Blackhawks in 2011-12, Carcillo spent parts of three seasons with the Philadelphia Flyers (2008-09 to 2010-11) and parts of three seasons with the Phoenix Coyotes (2006-07 to 2008-09). Carcillo was traded mid-season from Phoenix to Philadelphia in 2008-09.

The 6-0, 203-pound native of King City, Ontario has appeared in 333 regular season NHL games during his career, posting 87 points (40-47=87) and 1,079 penalty minutes. Carcillo led the NHL in penalty minutes in 2007-08 (324 PIM) and 2008-09 (254), while ranking fourth in 2009-10 (207). In 37 career playoff games he has 12 points (5-7=12) and 75 penalty minutes.

Now that we have nine defensemen, we might as well get 15 forwards. After that we can acquire two more goalies...
