Eklund sees LA picking up Carcillo, like most people can figure out that Clifford might be moving if that's the case.

He now has a 1 in 29 shot of being right, and if he's wrong oh well, it's expected. He's Eklund. So let's say Montreal, they have a lot of fans and will generate hits for my site.

Pretty sweet gig this guy has.

I don't get why they trade clifford, hopefully the kings send mtl clifford and then they trade clifford to edmonton in the massive trade with buffalo.

Can you guys just talk about the rumor and not complain about Eklund?

I personally find Montreal's desire for size and toughness kind of funny. They acquired Parros and now they need Clifford as well to already go along with Prust, Moen, White? Let's assemble a team full of grinders!

theres a lot of chatter about this. not just eklund. it makes a lot sense from the habs if they feel they can slot clifford or prust into their top 9.
is clifford asking for too much money? i would think the kings have interest in Moen if that's the point. signed for three more years at 1.8. but bergevin doesn't have a lot of $ to spend on signing Clifford unless he trades salary somewhere.

if habs pull this off, parros, prust and Clifford is a nice trio of toughness (+ white, tinordi etc)

yeah agreed but i don't think it's for their bottom pairing - they probably feel clifford or prust can play in top 9. prust played a lot of the year with gallagher and galchenyuk + you have plekanecs, eller, pacioretty, bourque, gionta. briere and desharnais.

i would assume moen or white is getting dealt to make room for a clifford

The Habs can't seem to win around here.

"Habs are small, need grit".

*Habs acquire size and grit*

"Lol the Habs are acquiring grinders to get bigger and tougher, that's funny".

How else do you propose they get bigger and tougher? The Lucic's of the world aren't exactly in huge supply.

Let me guess ! A leaf fan ?

As for Clifford, if you just replacing Moen with Clifford, i find it a waste.

Moen can play hockey...he wont score much but he brings other things to the table that teams would benefit from.

for those asking Moen can play hockey. he was great the two preceding years but had a concussion at the end of the previous hockey season and went a bit gun-shy. he played in the top 6 spot duty and plays in the top 4 on the montreal PK.

he's only 29. if he stays in montreal i think he picks it up with Parros around

if i weren't lazy, i'd photoshop those prize squares with faces of smurfs and goons and put Bergevin in the middle.

Moen's strength is playing hockey. He's great defensively. The problem is he doesn't seem to want to get physically engaged anymore.

The Mayor John Hoven ‏@mayorNHL 10m
"@DJJimJamie: Any rumours floating around about Clifford?" You seem to have me confused with Eklund. When there's a story, will share.

A guy close to the Kings with actual LEGIT sources who doesn't spew bull **** trade proposals to drive views basically debunked the Clifford rumors. So yeah....not happening.

Impossible because dozens of ... hum ''legit'' twitter Habs sources say its totally real. They were also ''reporting'' it before Eklund.

They also reported that Morrow to Montreal was done.
