A lot!! Beaulieu won't move for a package of lesser pieces he's the future of this teams D with PK and Jarred. I like Clifford but beaulieu is arguably our top none NHL prospect

A switch pick?
Like 2nd for 5th or whatever?
Not necessarily what I'd want, I'm just trying to come up with something that makes sense, and, quite frankly, I'm on the verge of failure.

Why would they take Carcillo over Clifford?

I'm not quite sure why LA would need another defenseman ? Isn't LA looking to dump a defenseman or two ?

Beaulieu would be tough to get out of Montreal though.

Just curious, but why would L.A. want Beaulieu??...seems L.A. has their future PMDs...

Impossibility to come to terms with Clifford?

Look...
They're TRYING to MOVE Clifford, according to all rumors.
When "trying to move" somebody, you don't ask for something you're certain not to get...

Doubt it. Fucale has a lot of value to the Habs. He could be a potential franchise goalie. I doubt Bergevin trades any of this years draft prospects. You could be looking at a B level prospect and a pick for Clifford. Maybe Holland or Bournival.

Until the Bruins or Leafs come to town.

Bruins:

Lucic, Chara, Marchand, Thornton

Leafs:

Orr, McLaren, Fraser, Clarkson, Phaneuf

With that said... this is a great pickup for Montreal (if it happens). They really needed some bite in their lineup.

Go to the trade rumors section and click on Eklunds name beside the thread title, you'll see why this guy gets so much hate.

LA doesn't have to move Clifford. Plus he is a young player who still has upside and I'm sure many other teams value him. Lombardi seldom gives away players especially ones he drafted.

I'm surprised Eklund has never been charged with fraud.

Marchand isn't tough. He's an annoying pest. If you count Marchand as a tough guy, you could say the same about Gallagher.

Phaneuf wouldn't fight Prust... He backed down. Not a very intimidating "tough guy".

Well, the need to move Clifford seems to be the very rationale behind the idea of moving him, and the rumor itself.

To be honest, I don't know why they would do so, except the impossiblity to agree to terms with him.

what?

I might not know Kyle Clifford very well but I seriously doubt he's worth two 2nd + a 3rd

Moen can play good defensively and good on the PK that's it. Clifford is better offensively, is responsible in the defensive. He is 22 years old he can hit and is a pretty good fighter, plays with lots of grit and is a harder worker.

You rarely see just drafted players be traded, I doubt those guys would be moved. Especially Fucale.

This is one time I hope that Eklund is right.
