LMFAO. Ducks fans won't be happy. Not a bad signing though.

Not a bad signing, considering it is pretty cheap.

Duck fans have zero issue with this signing. If he sucks its a one year deal and we are plenty under the cap after the Ryan trade. If he returns to old form it's a steal even if only for a year.

Why wouldnt we be happy? Low risk, high reward. The only downside is it may be harder for the younger guys to get more minutes.

Well, I don't see the point. It's a cheap enough 1-year deal, and could turn out absolutely great(unlikely), but where does he realistically play? IMO Silf fits with the twins, and this means one of Etem or Palmieri slides down to the fourth line. Meh, could be worse, I guess.

As a Ducks fan, this is our worst move of the offseason thus far.

****ing idiotic. Pathetic.

I think this will end up being a great contract. Good job Murray.

Good signing.

I could see him bouncing back and getting 20+ goals.

Give it a rest. It's a one year deal and there's absolutely no risk to it. I'm sure it's better than whatever vision you have for the Ducks.

He played well in Anaheim before. Does he play with Getz and Perry?

I say, after leaving the Kings for their bitter rival, Penner goes into beast mode and light the lamp 30 times this season. 27 of those goals will be against the Kings.

I'm indifferent. The term and the price is more than reasonable, and there is no doubt that Penner can be an effective player when he puts his mind to it. Anaheim has quite a few options up front, so if Penner doesn't carry his own weight he won't play.

But you're a Kings fan.

His production immediately dropped when he went to Los Angeles. He never fit in there. He'll do a lot better in Anaheim.

Dustin Penner is the smartest man ever. Stays in So Cal where he obviously wants to be, will suck in Anaheim during the reg season, all the Ducks fans will hate him, then will play just well enough in the playoffs to make everyone think twice, then will be a King again on a one year deal in 2014/15.

Meanwhile he's gonna be cashing $1.5M to $2M checks every year.

Brilliant!

I thought he fit in OK during the SC run. So much so that I would say he was an integral part.

Penner sucked in the regular season, but scored a few of the biggest goals in franchise history in the playoffs for us, so I wish him nothing but the best.
