There is no player on your roster we would trade Mitchell for except maybe PK Subban.

So MTL gives the three best pieces in the deal? How about no.

Clifford is the only valuable piece coming back and Bourque Dwarfs him in value as a player on the ice. Mitchell might retire tomorrow and I'm not even sure Lewis would be our 4th center with our depth. Maybe he plays wing, I don't know, but he's listed as a center.

Lots of ninja edits lol.. that seems almost doable now but I would hate losing someone of Collberg's upside, even with a late first coming back our way too.

I don't think LA takes this deal, you adding a second to our side on top of it, even if you add three firsts. We are in win-now mode and Mitchell is one our most important players. And you won't want to know the asking price of Lewis either, another player who isn't for trade.

Because the 20 or so games a year Mitchell plays plus his 36 years of age is so valuable.

Wake up.

112+ games missed over the past four seasons, one of which was lockout shortened and yeah, the knee surgery cost him all of it. No guarantees he comes back the same. Risky at best. We would know dealing with Markov and seeing he has clearly lost a step.

We're playing for the Cup, you wake up. Or at least get ready for the house to burn down.

That pile of whatever your guy is offering has almost zero value to a contending team. You ask for two players who aren't for trade from a contender, you'll have to send back players who can play top minutes right now.

Dude.

I know calling someone the T word in here is considered flaming and infraction worthy so I'll just ask you to never post in a Habs related thread again.

I would not trade Mitchel for that package. And the last thing we need is another d prospect

Exactly...why in the world would LA do the proposal in the OP. All it does is help MTL.

I am not to worried about your prospect not coming to our team cause Mitchel and the other fellas proposed on the original proposal fill a need to make a strong team in the playoffs. That is why we easily pass

Collberg has the potential to be a top 6 forward and clifford at best is top 9. Collberg is one of our best prospects for sure in the top 5 this year. IMO LA should add because Collberg is going to great one day, but montreal needs to add size and grit and we are loaded in the RW.

No, we don't we hang up so loudly, it still rings in the ear of your GM three days later.

I know you guys think that you won a few regular season games, now all of your tiny players and prospects are good or something. You got trounced in the playoffs...in the weak Eastern Conference. None of the teams who make the playoffs and get the at least the conference finals have small guys like Gallagher. We have teams full of 6+ footers who can skate and lots of veteran d-men. We run over teams like yours in the playoffs. So your players and assets are not worth much to contender teams.

Let me tell you something. Two years ago we won the Cup in the most dominating run in history since the salary cap was introduced, which was supposed to make the playing field level. That year, Willie Mitchell was voted as the MVP and best defenseman on the Kings by teammates and LA people. He is our rock. We returned almost the exact same team with the addition of Tyler Toffoli. Last year we made it to the conference finals and lost to Chicago. Guess who was the only player missing, injured for us for the whole playoffs? Willie Mitchell.

You're not getting a contender's top pairing d-man for that pile of junk let alone having us add two more roster players. What a joke. We in LA have an abundance of good prospects too...we don't need yours who are drafted and developed only to win a few regular season games.
