Yeah not sure how he's been part of TSN for so long..

They should get an actual interview show with tough questions, but I guess that's why they have the radio shows like the Drive with Dave Naylor and the Sportsnet radio shows.

Lay off the hate? How the hell do you get the one-sided result of a playoff matchup between two Canadian teams when interviewing a player from one? That's pure idiocy, Landsberg sucks.

It'd be cool if George Stroumboulopoulos interviewed him.

Not even kidding.

He's been REALLY vocal the past few years about it, and about trying to get other people to recognize their problems and seek help, especially athletes who otherwise wouldn't recognize symptoms of mental illness.

And the thing about the Leafs always beating us in the playoffs is spot on. I can't stand the Leafs, and the fact that they beat the Sens 4 times in 5 years definitely doesn't help that.

So I just got back from Pub 101 from having a casual pitcher with my girlfriend, and out of the corner of my eye I see someone who looks eerily similar to Bobby Ryan. I investigated a little further and then I came to the realization it was actually Bobby Ryan... Approached him, gave him a handshake and told him I was a huge fan and wished him and the team the best of luck (as a huge fan of the team, I kind of fanned out). He seemed like a very humble dude and said he really appreciated it a lot and to take care. All in all, it was pretty cool, lol.

Wait because he's has depression and mental issues we shouldnt criticize him, and we should like him??

Everyone has their issues.

The other weird question was along the lines of: So what do you think of Maclean, he made the Montreal coach look like an idiot hahahaha. I mean Bobby hasnt even met Maclean before.

It was an entertaining interview I guess, so Landsberg did something right.

No, but its a reason you shouldn't pick/make light of his problems.

Maclean didn't make Therrien look like an idiot... they did a pretty good job at that themselves.

I think what MacLean did best in that whole debacle was make himself look like the bigger person in all of this. Therrien was rampaging on how Mac had no respect and was classless while Mac just kind of took it, and made subtle comments.

Also the Habs players chirping the coach was obviously going too far, and MacLean had every right to lash back and he didn't, well he kind of did at the end, but only by dissecting what Prust said about him.

/rant

While I can respect what Landesberg has done in his career, especially for mental awareness and getting it more out into the open, it was a pretty ****** interview.

Good to have him here. Seems like he likes the city and wants to stay here long-term which is always good.

Didn't mind the otr interview. Although the mtl thing was pretty bad. Bobby looked like he had a bit of fun, which is a good thing

Road trips are the best way for teammates to bond.

When they lose all 5 games but one, will you still be saying the same thing? I am sorry, i am just too hesitant to look forward to a road trip at the beginning of the season especially being that we had a bad road trip record last season. I would be fine if all the games in the road trip were eastern team too be honest. Right now, we have 2 games in the eastern and 4 games in the west.

Probably, some adversity wouldn't hurt. I'd rather get losing out of the way early on than later, that way this team knows what it has to do.

If our team can't handle losing 5 games then.... I'm willing to bet there's gonna be losing stretches more than 5 games.

Plus, why would that happen?

Anything is possible. I guess the reason that i just do not have my hopes up is because of our bad road record last season. I am hoping with a healthy squad and the newest additions, we will be better on the road. I see us beating buffalo. We always have trouble with toronto for some reason. I do not know why too be honest. The kings are 50/50 as well as the sharks, ducks and coyotes. I guess if anderson comes out spectacular again, our defense is good and our offense improves, i think we have a shot at beating these western teams. I just would feel more comfortable if we were facing all eastern teams in this road trip.

He'll be more impressed when he steps on the ice in front of a packed and loud rink on Oct 17th.

Neil looked like he was going to fight him when they met lmao. Are players always that uncomfortable when they first meet off the ice?
