Not only can perrott fight but he hits and he can play the game more then you could say about Belak. Now I am not a Belak hater but you would have to agree that on a regular basis he hurts this team more then he helps, simply with his play and stupid Penalties. I saw quite a few SJM games last year and I have to admit i think Toronto should let Belak walk and bring up Perrott as he's more then ready to step in and be given his shot.
Exactly ...Spot on your analysis..

After tonights game ... I hope Fergy protects Perrott and lets Belak go..

If Nathan is not protected in the Waiver draft ..he will definitely be taken..

I'm not using this post to defend Belak, but how do you know that Perrott won't start taking dumb penalties game after game if he makes the team? I mean right now he's trying his best to make a good impression, but once he settles in, he could just revert back to what's natural for him. I'm not saying that would happen, but you never know. Also, Belak should be given a chance to redeem himself this year, he may prove to be pretty useful.

I can't really say if he would or he wouldn't. But I got a good look at him last year in Newfoundland and he just isn't that type of guy. Belak takes dumb penalties because he can't keep up with the game . Perrott is a good skater hits like a freight train and has a good understanding of the game personally I would take Perrott over Belak any day of the week.
