Enforcer role

From what I've been seeing, I think most people are happy that we are starting to get bigger and even though Parros isn't the end all be all, he can help fill the role and take some heat off of Prust.

I was over at Hockey Fights checking out George to see what he's all about when I stumbled upon a player I always thought would have ended up in Montreal. That player is 6'6" 225 lbs and is from Montreal - Patrick Bordeleau. He seems to handle himself quite well... too bad we didn't draft him instead of JT Wyman.

I wonder if Mr. Bergevin would consider a trade for him next year. Thoughts?

He was the talk of this board for months, but he just re-signed with the avs during this offseason.

5 min of TOI every 3 games or so is the least of MBs priorities. already feel bad we lost a pick, even if it was just a 7th rounder

Awards:
Bordeleau was only the guy that EVERYONE talked about as the season rolled on last year.

Guess I've been away from the boards for too long!

Still might happen down the road a bit.

In the end it is better to draft and develop your own guys. I was very happy about drafting MacCarron and Crisp... I think those guys have potential to intimidate and play against top opposition.... those are the guys that make you tough.

Nothing stopping Bergevin from picking him up at the trade deadline if he deems it necessary, I don't see the Avs making the playoffs this season. Bordeleau, Parros, White, Moen, Prust and Tinordi would keep teams honest. The cost for added insurance in the form of Patrick won't be that much, Sakic wouldn't stop Bordeleau from the opportunity to play for the Habs in the playoffs, I'm sure.

Bordeleau was on Le Match a couple of months ago and he said that he would love to play for the Habs and that it would be a dream. However he also said that his priority was to re-sign with the team that gave him a real chance (the Avs) if they wanted him back which he did (and that's understandable).

I was and still am on the Bordeleau bandwagon. Assuming he keep doing what he does with the Avs right now when his contract his up i'm all for taking a shot at him. Would be a great fit and he would quickly become a fan favorite.

I think you can only have one of Bordeleau and Parros on your roster. Parros gives you the exact same thing but a longer track record.
