I imagine he will be an RFA again next summer?

Glad he accepted and we got him out of the way. Should let him spend all year or close to it (Miller trade at the deadline perhaps?) in Rochester as the starter which I think is the best thing for him.

Does Hackett have arbitration rights next year?

He doesn't have much leverage anyways, so no reason for him not to take the QO. Sabres get a chance to see what he can do, he gets a chance to prove himself worthy of a longer (and larger) contract. Doubt the Sabres would have given him anything more than 2 years anyways, so Hackett has more to gain by coming back to the table next year.

Yes he does. Next season will be his fourth professional season
