Can't seem to find it anywhere online, and I'm not in the mood to comb through the schedule with a tally. But does anyone know the breakdown of the schedule this year in terms of how often we play our division/conference/west? I know we play every team in the west twice (home and home) but I'm unsure how the rest of it works.

Edit: nvm, found it. http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=678238

There isn't a better way to start the season than spanking the Habs. Looks good.

Since our first 2 games are back to back I like to look at it like this. In 80 games, TO only plays back to back 8 times..which is amazing because didn't we lose a lot of those 2nd games last season?!?

We play Montreal and Buffalo 5 times this year, I'd say that's rather good news for us. Boston, Ottawa, Tampa Bay, Florida and Detroit see us 4 times.

Don't really understand why we're playing Buffalo 5 times instead of Ottawa or Boston who would just had a great series with. Can't say I mind though, Buffalo sucks and the other 2 are playoff teams so it'll make for 1 easier game.

Anyone know for sure if there's going to be a rotation? like:

2013/14 - Habs 5 times, Sabres 5 times
2014/15 - Sens 5 times, Panthers 5 times
2015/16 - Lightning 5 times, Bruins 5 times

???

I don't know if everyone is looking at the same sked I am, but I see 14 back-to-backs for the Leafs.

including 2 back-to-back back-to-backs.

Alter said 14 too. I thought for sure there was a disconnect.

I would like the Leafs to go 5-0 and 6-0 in Feb and April respectively

3 Sunday games too.

I think the article said we have 16?! If so that's ridiculous. How many back to back games do other teams have? The Leafs seem to have the most every year... this past season was the worst, most back to back games and the 2nd team was rested almost every single time. Pretty sure we never won both games in back to back situations this year and we only did it once in 2011-2012 IIRC. Ugh.

On a side note, I'm glad we play Buffalo 5 times, gives us an extra easy game hopefully.

We better take 3/5+ against all of Buffalo, Florida and Tampa. Easy pickings. Cannot screw it up.

We'll probably end up beating the Habs 3 or 4 out of 5 too and the Sens aren't hard for us either.

We should do fine in our division...I think we can even split against Boston.

Ya it was 16, I edited it but you guys quoted it before that. They're surprisingly hard to track Seems like every fanbase is having trouble finding their number

Everyone is around the same. I`ve only seen a few teams`totals but the Devils have 21 (counted that one myself) and I think the Canes are in the 20s. Ottawa has around 14-16 as well. Haven`t seen a team with less than 14-16

it's a rotating schedule, some divisional teams you play 5 times, some 4.

See. that's the thing
we SHOULD smoke Buffalo, but we have issues in their building
We ALWAYS have issues against Tampa (fun games though)
And Florida, the same.

I think a series win/split against Boston totally dooable now (thank you playoffs).

i think whatever "weak" team emerges this year (ie: if it's still Calgary/Philiadelphia who couldn't buy a win to get over .500 to save their collective lives last season), we have to smoke them.

more critical than that: we can not blow games where we've got them in hand. that's what cost us home ice and/or division.
