It is certainly going to be tough. However, the Phantoms will be in the same boat as most AHL teams that will lose 4-6 players to their NHL clubs.

Any chance that, once the lockout is officially over, that an NHL team tries to hire Stevens as an NHL assistant or head coach?

I don't think so yet. Maybe if the Phantoms go deep again or he wins another Cup within a few years.

Hopefully the only place he goes is up to the big club in an assistant's role. He seemed to work really well with the kids and maybe, just maybe, he might be the kind of coach we need on the big club to work with the kids.

ya, didnt we lose one of our assistant coaches to the OHL? Wayne Flemming? who we gonna sign to take his place?
