He won't get that even from an arbitrator, much less from the Oilers. Gotta think his days on the club are numbered if that's his expectations on a long-term deal.

Which means he will settle for $5m per but EDM is likely offering less than $4.5m.

5.5 for Gagner?!?!? What a joke. Way too much money for what he brings to the Oilers. At that price, they should let him walk.

Refresh my memory folks, is NHL arbitration a one (management's number) or the other (players number) ruling, or does the arbitrator find middle ground?

He expects that on a short-term. His expectations on long-term deal are higher. UFA vs. RFA.

The way Oiler fans hype him, you'd think $7M would be reasonable

Voracek has similar production, same age, 50ish less games played, and has 4.25 cap hit for 3 more years. Can't imagine Gagner getting awarded much more than that.

Wtf Bozak signed for 4.2. I don't see how that's stupid, it's fair and it's what Gagner should be making.
