WC Jeopardy?

I see they're still advertising places for the WC'14...

Last year when they announced that the first Canadian team to be featured in the Winter Classic were the Leafs, everyone was excited, it took only a short amount of time for the tickets to be snatched up, even Coke were in on the promotion. But the season was shortened due to the lock-out, and the WC'13 canned.

This year's reincarnation seems to be lacking the same grenadier, have the NHL cheapened it by announcing a slew of others cities also hosting their versions?

It seems like to me not a lot of Leaf fans are not as excited the first time around, I could be wrong. But ticket sales have slowed.

What do you guys think?

I'm more excited about 24/7 with all the footage leading up to it then the actual game itself. But I still think it'll be fun to watch though.

I think the funniest thing is the outdoor game in Vancouver in March re-igniting the age old 'Sens versus Canucks' rivalry.

Anyone who had tickets to the previous game had the option of keeping them so I suspect that a majority of the tickets were already sold and thus no push for sales was needed.

Postponing it killed some interest, but it will be nice to hear 50K Leafs fans booing Alfie.

Ruining the hype and originality. Before the winter classic was a once a year event. Now there's about 5 or so games like that.

I think the funniest thing about the Canucks/Sens game is that it's outdoors in March in Vancouver.
