How in the world can he have an NMC that kicks in before next summer? He is still an RFA.

Similar players of a similar age who will make similar money in similar markets.

No thanks.

I don't understand either? Gagner probably has slightly more value because if age but I don't see any reason either team does this. It's like trading in your brand new car for one that's almost exactly the same except for obscure options.

Its all about hoping for the best, GM's would do this hoping for better chemistry with new line mates, plus both players have played over 400 games a change in scenario could spark that extra fuel to get them to be 70 pt centres

Little already has tremendous chemistry with his linemates. Odds are pretty good if he goes to any other team is production will drop.

I highly doubt Little playing with Perron and Yakupov or even Eberle and Hall some nights will drop his production

GM's doing "sign & trades" don't exactly endear himself to players on the team on expiring contracts nor pending/possible UFAs that might sign with the team.

Okay. That has nothing to do with what I asked though.

Lateral move that doesn't make much sense for either team.

True, but stating that it's irrelevant when his clauses come into effect; as it is a bad option to take for a GM - particulary for Canadian teams that have enough trouble attracting pending UFA's (without offering a truckload full of money).

We can toss in one of Omark, Musil or Pitlick to go with Sam.

Gagner is a much better play maker just watch Yakupov's highlight reel. How are Little's FO numbers? I don't see why either team would make this trade.

Pretty much identical players/production/cap hit, but Gagner is younger.

I'd rather keep Gagner.

Wheeler and Ladd both outscored 3 out of 4 of those players...

Little's very good on the dot, and is a pretty good playmaker as well. But no, he isn't on the the level of Gagner. He isn't bad though.

Little is the Jets best defensive forward. Gagner is no where near as good defensively as Little. Way better than Little on the PP though.
