Mikael Granlund to PHX

What would Minnesota be looking for. Knowing he is probably untouchable, what would it take. OEL is off the table.

Hey, let the Panthers get in on this. What does Minnesota need?

I'm not sure what Minn fans would want; but I assume it would have to be based on a package centered on either Yandle or Gormley. Either could be on the table; maybe also include someone like Miele that has the potential to plug the hole at center for a couple of years.

Gormley would be nice, but I'd rather keep Granlund for now. Was in a slump this year, happened to be his first on North American ice, and I think he'll rebound greatly next year.

I saw Phoenix had a surplus of defensemen on 1 way deals. OEL ain't on the block.

How good is Yandle? I thought he was pretty good. Tweak that deal?

Honestly can't think of anything Minnesota would want.

The Wild desperately need dynamic scorers, and Granlund has that potential.

Gormley and a second. But no, I'd rather keep Granlund.

Proven D star for Granlund, no way would Phoenix want any part in this.

Given that we would have Gormley coming up, we could probably afford to make this move.

Minny probably would have to add a little though, since Yandle is an offensive dynamo that would work wonders for their blueline.

Wouldn't we rather just keep our prospects for them to be proven talents, and able to get proven talents down the road?

That surprises me. And no doubt we would have to add. Its just a matter of how much.

Gormley doesn't make Yandle expendable. It's nonsense to think an unproven prospect makes a star player expendable just to get him in the lineup. You're more likely to see players like Klesla, Schlemko, and Michalek moved to make room to let Gormley prove himself.

And it's would take a hell of a + added to Granlund to get Yandle out of Phoenix.

As a Hawks fan, I really don't want to see Yandle in Minny.

Although I think Minnesota needs some D, not sure if there's a trade that can be made between the Yotes and Wild for now. Earlier I think Klesla for Setoguchi would've been good for both teams, but obviously the time for that has passed.

Was aimed more at the thought that letowskie thinks that we can afford to trade Yandle for a prospect because we have Gormley.

I don't see Granlund going anywhere unless he's a part of a bigger trade. The Wild don't have a lot of center prospects.

I'm not willing to move Granlund, unless it's for a proven top six center or a top 4 dman.

Granlund is and will continue to be a bust in the NHL and if you can move him now for a proper return you should do it without a moment's hesitation. Let him and his development be someone else's problem.
