Stransky time. His puck possession style is going to fit in perfectly with the kind of game that Nill is trying to implement. I expect big things from this kid.

Stransky then Faksa barely for me. I think Stransky has a slightly higher ceiling..and his big question mark-skating- he seems to be improving on every season. Not sure yet where I'll go after Faksa at 7.

My top 7:

1. Nichushkin
2. Oleksiak
3. Chiasson
4. Ritchie
5. Campbell
6. Stransky
7. Faksa

I think Nemeth has fallen a smidge due to his unfortunate concussion issues.

Faksa here, physical package, compete game with solid top six upside. Big year coming from him. Any takers on a Pts prediction in the W?

Really tough call between Faksa and Stransky. They are even right now, and I only went the way I did due to a hunch that Faksa has a season similar to Ritchie next year.

I made a list at the beginning of this and I'm sticking with it best I can. Definitely Stransky for me here then Desrosiers.

Faksa has higher upside and is more likely to reach the NHL than Stransky, despite Faksa's disappointing season.

I'd probably go with Nemeth before Stransky at seven.

That's what I'm doing. Though I feel we're in the minority.

I'd like to correct that in that it's close between five and not just those two. Nemeth, Connauton, and Guptill all should be in the conversation.

Connauton really because he's 23 and should be NHL-ready. I'm not sure on him beyond that. Guptill has probably the highest upside of all five, but he's the furthest away. Then there's Nemeth who is in the AHL after some good years in Sweden and international tournaments.

I really don't know much on Guptill. Where will he be playing next year?

Probably back still in the NCAA. He only just completed his second season there, and prospects generally stay for at least three I think.

He'll definitely be back at Michigan. But I can see him pulling a Smith/Chiasson and joining Texas for their remaining few games.
