Lucic and Boychuk

Hey,

I am curious as to what the value of these two players are together.

Do you think Wheeler, Bogosian and Trouba would be fair value barring anything relating to team needs and chemistry (i.e. Winnipeg already having three solid LW's and the chemistry of the Ladd, Little and Wheeler line)?

Thanks for the input.

Value may be good ... but Boston won't trade Lucic.

What would Boston want from Edmonton besides J. Schultz, RNH, Eberle, and Hall? (I know I didn't put Yakupov but personally I want to see more of him before I say he's untouchable.)

Hasn't history taught Oiler's fans that no one is 'untouchable'?

I'd trade Ebs plus a pick for them.

Hall-RNH-Yakupov
Perron-Gagner-Hemsky
Lucic-Gordon-Jones

Smid-Petry
Ference-Boychuk
Belov-J.Schultz

Lucic is staying. You offer fair value, but Lucic is our identity. There is a reason why he is the most feared player in the league (Sorry, 3 min a night goons don't intimidate top 6ers/top 4 D) and why we are one of the most physical teams in the league.

Lucic is worth more than either Schultz or Eberle.

IMO the OP deal is good value, but I can't see Boston doing it anyway. Lucic was on it for the playoffs, imagine if he keeps up with that consistency. He's an animal.

To be honest, I'd prefer not to see any deals concerning Edmonton, it always, every single time, goes sour and reaches 5+ pages.

If only we had guys to play with Perron on the third line. Then we'd have
Lucic - Gagner - Yakupov...

It's just ridiculously stupid you think you could even make an offer to get Lucic and put a no-go on almost all your good players. Typical.

Not necessarily, no. Kovalchuk and Parise left, weren't traded away. And I doubt four Oilers players are all considered untouchable.

I just made a proposal with Eberle and a pick for those two. Decent?

While Eberle is a good player, he just doesn't fit the Boston style at all. IMO Boston keeps Lucic and I'd say they'd probably pass on a simple Lucic for Eberle deal as well.

Lucic just simply brings a lot more to the table for Boston. Not that I'm the biggest fan, it's my second team, so maybe some true fan will correct me.

What would you want for Hall besides Lucic, Krejci, Eriksson, Bergeron, Marchand, Chara, Rask or Hamilton? You have to give to get...

You'd have to overpay big time for Lucic. The fans and management adore him and without him, our identity is severely damaged. He's one of the most intimidating players in the league and can dominate a game, and more importantly, a 7 game series. All Boston fans love Boychuk, too. Not sure it would take huge overpayment since we do need to shed some cap, but if you're not offering a defenseman in return, no deal.

For both, Hall/Eberle/RNH would start the deal. Not sure you would want to do that. Absolutely no reason why we would trade Lucic for fair value.

WPG gets owned in OP's deal. Bogo may have the most value in the trade in the next year or so. Wheeler + Trouba (whos been progressing better than expected) tilts the deal wayy in favour of boston.

No. If I'm Winnipeg, and you're offering Lucic and Boychuk or those 3, it's an easy no. I wouldn't even have to put a lot of thought into it. I'm not sure how much better that makes the team in the short term (at best it's a draw), and it certainly doesn't help them long term.

Lucic is 30 goal scorer, and a huge fan favorite in Boston, there would be a public lynching of PC, if Lucic was traded. As for Boychuk, he is defensive reliable, he hits, has a bomb of shot. Now that Andrew Ferrance is gone Boychuk is now out #3 defenceman! So NO we will not be trading Lucic and Boychuk.

Bruins won't trade Lucic, perhaps Boychuk for a overpayment.
