Can't wait to see how this fight plays out. Word is that Vitor will likely face the winner.

Can't wait for this main event either. And am admittedly looking forward to a women's fight fight for the first time ever.

I really don't know how to feel about this fight. On one hand, I feel like Weidman has plenty of tools to beat him - ground pound, decision, submission. On the other hand, I can't stop feeling like Silva would knock him the **** out in the first round.

So excited, it's ridiculous.

I think Anderson's motivated to win this fight, if not to win back his belt. So I'm expecting him to put Chris out.

Warmaster's fight is interesting to, would love to see that old ******* go on a run and take Cain's belt from him as long as he's got his fountain of youth thing going.

Weidman will take it again.

Not so sure that he'll get such an unexpected knockout, but ground and pound finish/submission I expect.

Or he'll take a decision.

I think his ground game is going to make the difference.

All four FS1 fights look sick to me!

If Weidman stands and kickboxes again, I think he gets lit up this time, but if he studies the Sonnen / Silva 117 film and uses his wrestling, he wins again.

6 months ago I bet the house on Barnett, but after seeing Browne survive Overeem, I'm not so sure ...

Weidman has questionable cardio and his wrestling is not on par with Chael's. ^^

Weidman doesn't have pillow fists though, so he wouldn't necessarily need 5 rounds of GNP.

And he's got an active BJJ game unlike Chael. Watching that first round again you can see that Anderson was not comfortable being on the ground with Weidman which I think is a big reason he kicked his taunting up to another level. I think he felt that if he didn't get Weidman to bite and catch him he wasn't going to win the fight. Will be interesting to see what Anderson's game plan will be for this fight.

I think that weidman can get silva to the ground but it wont be so simple. I think hell need to grind silva along the cage and have to work for it. Now i certainly cant wait for this fight and am stoked after not being excited back in July. Also no matter how predictable rousey is with the arm bar i still love to see it. I can see miesha winning by getting rondas back.

Really hoping uriah hall comes out and lays leben oot.

But he may not be able to take Anderson down at will. Chael's wrestling is at such a high level that he really didn't have to set up every single takedown. He could do it while he was gassed. Chael's wrestling is absolutely elite.

Weidman doesn't have pillow fists, you and I agree. But Anderson does a solid job of blocking GnP. See the Chael fight, and see the first Weidman fight. They have just a few inches of space to throw punches.

I've watched every single Chris Weidman UFC fight. He cuts a lot of weight. I'll give him the short notice thing, but when his fights go the distance, he doesn't look great. He tends to gas.

Compared to Anderson? Anderson's cardio is great. I don't understand why that's an issue.

Casual? Must be. Even if you're not interested in Rousey/Tate, you've got some interesting match-ups. Porier/Brandao is going to be an absolute war. Josh Barnett is never in a boring fight. Dude is unreal. Travis Browne also has some vicious, vicious knockouts under his belt.

I suggest watching Travis Browne vs Stefan Struve or Alistair Overeem.

Anderson didn't need to taunt that bad. There was a lot of words said before the fight, and Anderson was emotionally charged. I was personally sick of Weidman's camp talking, and I'm not a HUGE Anderson fan. Anderson's never been that bad in terms of taunting. He was crossing his feet (you learn this on day 1 of training) and standing still. Weidman's shots weren't landing on the ground. Submission attempt wasn't as close as people think either.

Chris Weidman really isn't that dangerous against the cage. He needs to pick his shots, and be agressive. Anderson's fought some tough cage guys, like Yushin Okami. Anderson should test his cardio. Anderson needs to play counter-striker again, but go for it. He was looking for a highlight reel KO.

Ronda Rousey is a joke. I've always hated her, and this goes back to the pre-Miesha Tate Strikeforce days. Her skill level isn't that high, in terms of a well-rounded game. Liz Carmouche's game is based on being stronger and agressive. Ronda is a similar size. Liz managed to out-grappler her a couple times. Ronda also has piss poor striking.

I'm not hating either. Miesha Tate is similar. She lost her last fight by TKO to Cat Zingano, and before that, almost lost to Julie Kedzie. Kedzie just retired. Solid veteran, but middle of the road fighter. Kedzie dropped her multiple times.

Alexis Davis, Cat Zingano adn Sarah McMann are three women to look out for in 2014. I think Davis may be the best of them all.

Uriah Hall should not be in the UFC. At this point, neither shoudl Chris Leben. Hoping for some Leben violence though.

I'm not really too concerned about Weidman's cardio pre-UFC, as lots of guys don't show great cardio early in their career before they start training properly. He's only had two fights that he's gone the distance in the UFC - a Maia fight he took on really short notice, and his first UFC fight where he beat up Sakara. Maybe he will gas out, but it's hard for me to predict that based on what we've seen.

It was more than just that one. Weidman has some great GnP and probably landed harder shots in that first round than Chael did in the entire time he had Anderson down. His wrestling might not be on Chael's level but he can get Anderson down if he wants to.

I don't know why you're trying to sell Weidman short here. Everyone could see that Weidman hurt Anderson when he was on top and that's one of the main reasons why Anderson immediately tried to get up and started playing those games. With Chael, Anderson was content with just laying there and maybe trying for a submission because Chael wasn't hurting him at all. Weidman is a different beast and he absolutely hurt Anderson with his GnP.

I don't see a big issue with his cardio either. Where are you getting that from? He took the Maia fight on 11 days notice and had to cut 32 lbs in 10 days. Of course he isn't going to be in great shape there. The only other fight he went the distance in the UFC was against Sakara. I haven't watched that fight in a long time and don't really remember it but if he did gas towards the end, are you basing your "questionable cardio" comment on that fight alone? His UFC debut fight that happened almost 3 years ago?

edit: Damn it m9, you couldn't wait an extra minute before posting?

I feel like his cardio has gotten an unfair image from the Maia fight. He cut 30 lbs in 10 days. The only other fight he went the distance in is the Sakara fight and he looked fine in it, especially considering it was his first UFC fight.

His wrestling is different than Chael's. He has a much better all around game. His first step is much quicker and he has more power in his drive. Chael just has an absolutely dominant double leg.
