Mtl - min

what would it take to bring Charlie Coyle to Montreal?

He's a right winger that brings size and skill. Possibly Greg Pateryn and a draft pick?

lololololol.

Greg Pateryn and a pick wouldn't even bring you half way if Minnesota wanted quantity.

A gross over payment that Montreal wouldn't touch.

He'd be a part of a package for a player that I'm quite sure a high majority of Montreal fans wouldn't want to give up.

Very unlikely, any way you look at it.

There really isn't anything Minnesota would want from Montreal for Coyle -- or rather what Montreal wants to give up.

Your value is way way off OP. Not even close he really would cost way more then you would want.

Tinordi (I really love Tinordi guys...future top 4 defenseman IMO) + Bournival/Bozon + 2nd pick?

I'm fan... but Charlie Coyle has a great potential.

What kind of value do you think a team's 9th dman and a draft pick have?

Matt Bartkowski and a pick for Gallagher.

Yeah, the price would really hurt to pick up Coyle. The Wild have a very nice prospect on their hands with Charlie.

No it isn't. Coyle was a highly regarded prospect who's proving himself at the NHL level. The Wild would be stupid to move him for anything short of a major overpayment.

Beaulieau(sp?), Eller, and Gionta at 1/2 salary.

You are really clueless . Pateryn is not our 9th dman. He is one of our top defensive prospects (obviously not as skilled as Beaulieu or Tinordi), with top-4 potential

I think we would be better off going for Brett Bulmer.

Based on what? Coyle proved himself at the NHL level this year, has all the tools to be an elite top 6 talent. It's quite hilarious how overrated Tinordi is. Ask a fan of any neutral team and you'd see the consensus is Coyle has more value.

The Wild need that size in the top six. I'm not going to say he's untouchable but at this stage in the Wild timeline the more developed player will hold extra value to us compared with the prospect or picks that no doubt would be offered. Really want to see how it shakes out this year in camp--if he sticks as a center he'll be worth even more to us.

Let's see:

Subban
Markov
Gorges
Bouillion
Diaz
Emelin
Tinordi
Beaulieu

There are your 8 dmen higher on the depth chart. Dietz, Nygren Pateryn... arguable about where you'd slot each of them. So yeah, 9th dman was pretty accurate.
