Stéphane Robidas wouldnt mind coming back

Stéphane Robidas told TVA he always wanted to come back to Montreal to finish his career. Next season is the last year of his contract. He is 36.

Cheap I wouldnt mind him. He's very versatile, he have a bit of size. Decent bottom-pairing guy in my opinion. A lot like Gorges.

Keep in mind Bouillon will be gone and perhaps Markov too.

Why do they all want to end their career here? Can't they come when they're actually valuable?

Jesus...

He had a very good career in Dallas. Guy is a very solid two-way defenseman. Great first pass.

He's basically what I think Diaz can become if he hits his potential.

I'd only take him back if we had an injury though. Tinordi deserves a chance and he's already got Bouillon and Drewiskie in his way.

He hasn't really changed that much over the past 5 or 6 years. He's still a very smart, minute eating guy. Just don't see the room for him right now.

All we need now is Dandenault to come out of retirement so we can relive the Dandoulion days

He was way better than what we can hope Diaz to become. Solid defensively, intense, physical even.

I guess it's an easy question to lob in there any time you talk to a player. If he wants to come back, or if he doesn't, it's a story either way.

I would pass on Robidas, keep growing with our existing core and add younger players.

They only want to come here when there is no other option, see Danny Briere.

And we can welcome back Darche with open arms.

Trade Prust and bring back Kostopoulous.

If the NHL ever creates a "Senior League", we would dominate and win the Cup.

Bergy has contacted Pierre and he is currently considering a comeback as well.

No problem with Robidas in a bottom-pairing role. Could be a good partner for Beaulieu, assuming Tinordi will in a Top-4 role. If the drawback to sign him is to relegate Tinordi to lower duties, then, HELL NO.

But Bouillon is probably not going to play another year after this one, at least that is what I think. Robidas here cheap is a good idea, injuries happen. I just don't want him to automaticly win the spot over a young player because he is a veteran. If they want to play, they have to deserve the spot.

Somebody else on this board put it very well: Can we please stop stocking our roster from the bottom up? Build from the top lines down.

We don't need more 'depth', 'bottom-pairing' guys. If we're on a five year mission to seek out new Cups, let's divert all power to big goal-scoring phasers, Scotty.
