Didn't want to post two different threads but what would you St. Louis Fans want for one of these guys?

Halak for a conditional 3rd. Bumps to a 2nd if Oilers make playoffs, 1st if they make the cup.

Where do I sign?
It would have to be 2015 though since you guys already have our '14 2nd.

I'm going to go ahead and say no to a 3rd round pick.

Pass on Elliott. He is no upgrade on LaBarbera or Bachman.

LaBarbera was one of the worst backups in the league the past few years. Hell yes Elliot is an upgrade over him. The only problem Elliot has is that he is wildly inconsistent.

Halak all the way. I wouldn't even entertain the thought of Elliott if I were MacT.

In no way am I impressed with the LaBarbera signing. If Halak is a reasonable price MacTavish should definitely take interest.

If someone could get a hold of a later first or a good defense or center prospect I think that would be my price for either one. I don't know too much about either prospect but just going off of the HF site, Musil or Marincin would work.

Neither will be moved. Allen got a 2-way deal for a reason.

Value is probably similar to Bernier.

Second rounder plus a lower level young player.

He also got a one year deal for the following year, and we'd be foolish to let one walk at the end of the year. Granted one probably won't be moved till closer to the deadline, that would be the ideal time to move the lesser of the two. I doubt Armstrong waits till July 1 and lets one of them just fall into free agency.

That being said if EDM wants one right now, they would have to offer up something really good

If both play well, then we keep both and go strong for a Cup. If one plays bad, then they don't have good trade value. There isn't a scenario where we trade one of them, especially to a team that we could see in the playoffs.

Why would anyone possibly want Brian Elliott when you could have Jaroslav Halak?

Halak for a 3rd round pick? He's worth more than! People in St-louis have given up on him too early imo. Let's see what he can do this season and worst comes to worst, St-louis will probably get a better asset at the trade deadline.

I think he will come back with a mean streak this season l.

I don't see any Blues fan saying yes to a 3rd rounder :/

Why give assets away when you have a better Goalie already in DD?

I don't understand the JLB signing either. Buddies or not with dubnyk he's never been a capable backup. One of Theodore, Thomas or hedberg would've been a better option.

The people "accepting" that proposal aren't Blues' fans. Not even a Blues' fan that dislikes Halak -- of which there are unfortunately a few -- would accept only a third-round pick for Halak.

You think Devan Dubnyk is a better goaltender than Jaroslav Halak?
