Very good hire, IMO. I thought he should have got the job when Ganchar resigned the year he did. From the sounds of it when he didn't get the job there were some pretty harsh words exchanged, so its good to have him on the team.
The interesting thing is going to be what he does with his assistant coach situation. Going to only have one this year.
Gronborg worked magical wonders with the young defense last season, whereas Sawyer seemed like he did alot of standing and watching. I sat behind the bench all season long, and I was dissapointed in the role Sawyer kept.
That being said, maybe with more of an opportunity Kevin will be a bit better this season. The hiring of Chris Moulton as head scout deserves honorable mention, also. Maybe this is the corner the franchise needs to turn to go from occasional runner up to perrenial contender.
