Very fair bridge contract. I like Brodie he's a very good young defenseman.

This. Relieved to see that bridge deals are starting to come back.

Whew.. glad that is over I was a touch worried. I am fine with the contract but was hoping for more years even if it meant more money per.

He was outstanding last year. He especially stepped up when Bouwmeester was traded. Very excited about Brodie.

Awesome deal.

What a deal. Brodie was our best defensemen after Jbo left and hopefully will take another step this year.

Good signing, wouldn't have liked anything more than 2.5.

Is Giordano no longer on the radar for being decent?

He is still a good player but Brodie was head and shoulders above him. Brodie's hockey IQ really stood out last year.

Gio is our best D-man currently but Brodie if he keeps on improving can surpass him. Gio had a rough season last year.

Great signing by Feaster. Here's hoping Brodie will impress yet again this season!

For what? Get significantly less? This was a great signing for the Leafs with regards to negotiations with Franson.

How much better do you think Franson is right now than Brodie?

He's simply not. And he's 3 years older. I'm calling Eastern bias on anyone thinking Franson was better than Brodie.

What Franson has on him is he's closer to UFA, if they eat some of those years up he can get a higher contract.
