To Toronto
Kesler

To Vancouver
Liles
Percy
Blacker
Fraser
2014 1st

Toronto does this to get stronger depth up he middle and roll out 3 strong lines.

Vancouver does this to help their cap problems, add some depth, pick up a couple blue chip prospects, and a 1st in a strong draft. If Toronto falters, it could even end up as a first overall.

Getting revenge for the JVR trade are we?

I am pretty confident VAN is not interested in this at all and most likely will laugh.

I always get a little bit scared seeing proposals between Vancouver and Toronto. It doesn't even matter which side initiates it.

1. They're not blue chip prospects.
2. Leafs would have Bozak, Kesler, Kadri, Bolland, McClement at center.
3. Doesn't save the leafs any money.

So that means it's a stupid proposal, right?

A bunch of spare parts for Kesler, I see.

Nothing to see here - move along folks.

Stuart Percy and Jesse Blacker are definetely not blue chip prospects... Although they would probably be interrested in Finn or Percy.

Vancouver would need a centre coming back to replace Kesler. Liles is probably of no interest since they already have Hamhuis, Edler, Garrisson, Bieksa, Corrado, Tanev and Weber.

Id counter with:

Tyler Bozak
Matt Finn
1st round pick 2014
2nd round pick 2015
+ maybe a late pick or depth player

Quality over quantity.

Kesler is Vancouver's most valuable player, the type of overpayment needed to pry Kesler away from Vancouver would have to be catastrophic. Even then it's moot because Kesler isn't waiving his NTC.

What fanbase has ever accepted a quality for quantity trade?

Every part Toronto sends is bad value or not NHL quality. Even the 1st is likely to be mid 1st. Terrible proposal.... bad bad voodoo kinda proposal...

Yea let's give up our Selke Winner for your cap-dump (Liles) 2 non-blue chip prospects, a depth defenseman and a 1st rd pick (probably between 10-20)

.....how about no?

We'd ask for Gardiner/Rielly + a 1st. You have no wingers that you could part with that we would want nor do you have have blue-chip forward prospects

So we are giving two things of mid value and some change for a great piece?
Nice

Prototypical TML and/or EDM trade proposal. Receiving party gets spare parts and should still like them.

Most trade proposals here do just that...it's just that the teams with the highest fanbases end up with more "Homers"...hell, I'll admit, as a Habs fan, our fanbase is terrible for doing this...it's all relative...

How about Vancouver and Toronto fans never post proposals because we will never agree on anything

That's a bingo!

Toronto had nothing, repeat nothing, I want to move Kesler for, no single player and no combination of players. Bash him if you want but we need MORE Keslers, not fewer.

Toronto
Ryan Kesler

Vancouver
Nazem Kadri
David Bolland
Jake Gardiner

If we are moving Kesler, I would need that (and even at that, i don't want to do it).
Kesler is that big of a piece to Vancouver.

Unfortunately, this is a case where both teams are trying to get better so its not an easy trade to make between these 2 clubs.

JVR+Kadri+Reilly is what it would take but Kesler wouldn't waive his NTC, especially not to go to Toronto.
