Id forgotten about that, Gainey earlier playing with 2 separated shoulders,
one of them dislocated. How he managed to pull that off I have no idea.

This ones interesting. Ted Sator criticising Roys' style of Goaltending? Whats that all about? I tried to find out what he said specifically with no luck, not that Ted Sators' the last word on anything, in fact far from it, was just curious. He was fired by Phil Esposito into the next season who replaced him behind the bench for a few games before hiring Tom Webster. Seems the players, the Rangers themselves had a problem with Sator, Pierre Larouche, Barry Beck & several others, along with Esposito himself who had the stationary bikes removed from the dressing room area as being a foolish waste of energy & time: removing as well the walkie talkie headsets from Sators Assistant who worked up in the Broadcast Booth at MSG because thats not the way they did things in Phil's day. All kinds of amusing stories there with those two. Sator himself had been a College player, signing with the Long Island Ducks (John Brophy: "Once a Duck, Always a Duck") of the old EHL but a knee injury ended his career. Moved on to Buffalo etc post Rangers.
