Best Stars player to get on the back of your jersey

Once the new Stars jersey is revealed and hits the market I'll definitely be buying one and i'm sure I won't be the only one buying it so I figured this would be a good thread to have. I never owned a Stars jersey with a players name on it because you never know when the player will leave so it's gonna be a first time for me. Not sure who i'll be getting yet, still got a lot of time to think about it but i'm looking at a young player who we know will be a part of our organization for years to come.

Top 3 right now for me are Benn, Oleksiak and Dillon (In the order).

Reilly Smith is becoming my favorite Star quickly but i'm not sold on him yet so I probably won't take him. Then obviously Jagr comes to mind but he might be gone after this year. Loui is someone else i'd really consider. Kari for some reason is not someone I would consider because I just rather have a skater on the back of my jersey than a goalie.

So who'd you consider and who would you pick if you plan on getting the new jersey for the upcoming season?

Depends, do you want a player that is for sure not going anywhere? Or are ya willing to risk it?

Benn and Eriksson are the only players on the team that are 95% locks to be here for a long long long time. Oleksiak, Lehtonen, Eakin are in the next tier of that imo. Not sure if Jagr will even be here next year to play in the new jersey so no point in recommending that. If ya have a favorite player and don't mind risking him not being there, go for it.

I'll probably be getting Reilly or Oleksiak on the new jersey.

Yeah getting Zubi would be a huge jersey foul with the new jerseys. If I were to get a vintage jersey I most likely would be getting Lehts, man do I miss him

But yeah, if I'm looking for a sure lock it is probably gonna be Benn but I'm really feeling Oleksiak, Reilly and Dillon right now.

I am going with Benn when I buy a new one, but Eakin and Dillon are strong candidates.

I already have a Benn jersey (yes I bought this awful looking current jersey lol), so...

When the new one's come out I either want an Eriksson, R. Smith, or Dillon one.

I might get a Lehtonen one. Already have a Benn one, though, even though it's a jersey foul.

Campbell and Sinitsyn are the two I really want, though, but obviously both need to become sure-fire NHL prospects first...

I'm thinking Dillion or Kari for the new one for me, already have Jagr and Loui and I'd rather not repeat players.

I got an Eriksson 3rd when they still wore them.
I've recently adopted the philosophy of not customizing it at all, though, and am actually selling it.
Any advice on the best route to go on that?

There was an unwritten rule that only women and kids could wear Modano jerseys. Is the same true for Benn?

I think Dillion can be thrown in the tier right under Benn and Eriksson.

I think Chaisson could be a good candidate now don't you guys agree? And at the same time we can scratch Jagr off the list.

HAHAHA, premature, no? He's played ... 4 games in the NHL?

I'll write in a vote for "Lehtinen, Zubov, Morrow, Carbonneau, Hatcher or any other player on whom the book is written." Going back too far will lead to weird name/style incompatibility (ie: Mark Tinordi mooterus jersey), but the first thing I did when I heard about the Morrow trade was get online and order up a 10C in size 54. Most of the names on this list are sooooooo far down the list ...

Going back too far? There is no going back at all. You can't put a former player's name on the new jersey. That is a sports crime of the highest order.

So you're down to choosing from the guys who should be on the roster next season. Chaisson is not a bad choice given the choices available.

I'm tempted to get an Eakin jersey.

Either Eakin or Benn, regardless of what the new jersey looks like.

Gonna be rocking some new threads this summer.

Chiasson is tempting, but I would wait to see what number he sticks with next season.

I'm going to get another Lehtonen jersey when the new ones hit. An official one, not the cheap one I got previously. Will likely get him to sign it as well.
