Whomever creates the Dave Lumley show will have the #1 hockey show in EDM. I love that guy.

I don't get why Sportsnet's Doug MacLean & John Shannon still appear on TSN 1260 regularly while Jamie Thomas & Mark Spector are no longer allowed to do so.

Not sure, because they're analysts maybe, or guys from the Market (Thomas originally)? I don't know.

They are probably hired as consultants to Rogers whereas the other two are employees of Rogers

I found out that Sportsnet guys are allowed to go on TSN 1260 and that at least one of Spector or Thomas stepped away by choice.

Wil "NoThrill" Fraser.

Logged in to this site just to say I've had enough of this guy 5 years ago.

Either genuine lack of knowledge or the worlds longest troll job.

Gak.

Gak.
Grady in the house!

Wil makes lots of asinine statements but that's not enough to make me stop listening to the morning show completely. Kyle Chase was the only one who managed to accomplish that feat.

I find Neilson and Fraser fine in the morning - i actually like the aimless banter for the most part - nice to hear Lt Eric start to talk a little - aside from the commercials that seem to sometimes take up my entire commute, my only "complaint" is that gregors between the stripes with bud stein (or something) could be a little shorter... and less often - more strudwick, please

With his own show, Struds is probably a no go on the morning show.

I like Neilson and can totally do without Fraser though it is amusing when Neilson says just a simple comment or two each day to make Fraser look like an ass.

I've talked to a few people who have a problem with them but I like them a lot better than the previous morning hosts. Of course I only listen on my commute 7-7:30 and they have insiders and guests on for most of that time so I dont get overwhelmed with just their banter. They are ok joking around with their guests.

I enjoy the morning show for the most part. Funny the most annoying thing is that traffic guy who every day repeats "volume delays on the yellowhead at the Victoria Trail overpass, eases up at the Beverly Bridge." Ok, we get it! If there are the same volume delays every single morning, you don't have to report that!

Yeah, but the reason he's mentioning it is because they are getting calls on it. It's annoying for sure, but the same people are probably surprised every morning about the same volume delays.

I don't know whether that's the case or not but that's where you make a judgement call. It isn't a collision or construction outside the usual mess in that area, which everyone who drives over there knows about. I don't hear any other station report that.

Other stations only do reactive traffic reports because they are mostly music stations. The Hosts do the traffic, on a talk station with a dedicated traffic person, it might make more of focus to cover everything they come across, plus they have that traffic person scheduled in the show, so he needs to discuss something.

I'll say this, I don't mind listen to "volume delays" over that chick who couldn't pronounce words and number properly from a few months back.

You nailed it with "he needs to discuss something". Basically at 6:30am instead of just saying there isn't anything to report, we get the exact same volume delay repeated 100 mornings in a row.

Yeah, that's likely it, but it's probably more of summer issue, because once Winter hits people will be all over the ditches. We all know that.
