Busy stretch of games coming up. Avs today, Blues tomorrow and Kings on Monday. Raanta will be tested.

Corey Crawford making good progress. Could travel to STL, Q said, but he will NOT play vs. the Blues. #Blackhawks

#Avs couldn't travel last night because of the break, and aren't here yet. So after three days off, they won't have a morning skate.

When CC went down, I looked at the relatively tame schedule ahead and cited this stretch as Raanta's test if Crawford remained sidelined. The games up until now have been a good intro to the NHL for him and he has had a good beginning, but ...... Color me nervous.

I don't think it's ever been about the goalie as much as the team in front of him (part of the reason I hate the Crow contract).

It's going to be up to the skaters the next three games, not Raanta.

You'll get no argument from me about the contract, but Raanta has had it pretty easy. His play will be more important this weekend.

The Hawks always seem to play well against teams who dominated them the previous time. I think the Capt hits the scoresheet tonight and we get a solid win.

Worked late, stopped at Jewel, put away groceries, and cleaned up after my cats all just in time to catch puck drop.

Perfect.

Defensemen jumping into the play all over the place. Barely into the game and Keith, Leddy, and Hammer have made nice plays.

Toews needs to play that puck up the ice. He stupidly stopped to reverse it then throws it across the middle of the ice. It's pretty simple guys: get the puck out of the zone and the other team can't score.

Did everything but score prior to the first commercial break. Hope that wasted opportunity doesn't come back to bite us.
