Just look at #6 overall compared to the ones around him http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/draft/nhl1990e.html

Looking through just the Oilers draft history, in the last 20 years:

Alex Henry: 177
Mike Watt: 157
Ladislav Benysek: 161

He's a meme on the Oilers board, but I doubt many people league wide have heard of Liam Reddox.

A year before drafting the awesome Scott "Rock, Paper" Scissons, the Islanders used the No. 2 overall pick in 1989 to take this guy immediately after Mats Sundin...

He managed to get into 128 NHL contests.

Funniest part? He STARRED for Canada at the '90 WJC.

BTW, the topic title shouldn't be taken literally. I just want to find some interesting lesser known players. Yes, it's one of those off season topics.
I know that guy. Either Chara or Chris Niel basically killed him.

Jason Doig was a good one. I remember him.

Joel Kwiatkowski is another (282 gp)
Matt Pettinger (422 gp)
Rick Berry (197 gp)
Stephen Peat (130 gp)

Basically just look at the Caps roster in 2003-04. So many nobodies.

How awful does a #6 pick need to be to not even get a chance to play more than 2 games? lmao

I remember this guy. He almost seemed like a good pickup for the Canucks for a minute or two.

Mark Janssens, 711 games played, NHL centre.
