Nyquist(+) for Panik?

The Red Wings have a lot of smaller skilled finesse forwards on the team and in the system, they need a big physical net front presence that can contribute on the top 6.
Would you do it?
I like Nyquist a lot but I would.

I bet he scores more than Nyquist next year and he is a big strong physical guy who really gets under the opponents skin and unlike anyone on the current Wings (except Franzen but I think he is too beat up to relish that role anymore)roster knows how to be a net front presence and excels at tipping in shots and smacking home rebounds.
We just have a lot of what Nyquist brings to the table and none of what Panik brings.
I would go Nyquist and a 2nd (or another prospect for him) but I don't know if Stevie would deal him to us now that we're in the same division.

I could do it. Panik was a real pain in the ass during the AHL-finals.

I just can't see Yzerman doing this trade. He has the same playmaking winger in Palat, he won't need another in Nyquist. And they have also Drouin.

Send 'em Jarnkork. He's a nice little center who some think will be the next Henrik Zetterberg. Sounds like a fair trade where we both address needs.

I know I think that's the problem too but I would sweeten up the pie with an extra pick or prospect or maybe if he's interested (doubtful) in anyone of the surplus forwards we have. I think Tyler Johnson is better than Palat but Nyquist will probably have a bigger impact than either of them.

Is Panik a right handed shot?

According to Wikipedia he's a righty.

Tatar-Andersson-Panik

Not a bad third line.

And if you watched the AHL-finals, he pretty much was a lefty.

If the "+" is a 7th rounder... sure

And I do this trade only because of the Size and Panik seems to be a bit of a ********* that gets under players' skin.

Datsyuk-Zetterberg-Panik > Datsyuk-Zetterberg-Abdelkader/Bertuzzi/Samuelsson (which is what I think the plan is).

Bad idea and we shouldn't be the one adding. I would consider Tatar, I am a huge fan of Panik, but he isn't worth Nyquist.

Doubt Babs would give Panik that role either, even if we had him.

Yeah, image search shows he's a lefty. Still would like to trade Jarnkrok for him.

Panik + Tatar were great together on the WJC. Watching them in the NHL would be unbelievable. I think Panik has all the tools, Red Wings need.

So you think Nyquist is better than Tatar? I think Tatar is slightly better, and he's more than a year younger too.

Obviously you're criminally underestimating Järnkroks abilities... just the fact he's a natural center and righty is worth more than Panik, for the wings.

I bet he scores more points than Nyquist next year and there is always a premium for size.

The original shot was good, the rebound was great with an amzing save but Panik wasn't going to be denied.

Almquist was unconscious in the corner for a while play was only stopped after Panik scored. Nice goal though.

Tatar is more of a shooter and Nyquist a distributor. Tatar is grittier too.

Exactly how many centers do we need to have?
