Another solid depth signing.

He'll look good in OKC's top6 and could even play on the Oilers 4th line in a pinch, I'd say.

We are improving our 4thline by signing marlie players that have played a total of like 2 games in the NHL between them?

As long as these dudes are not keeping any younger prospects out of regular play in oka I'm fine with it.

I am cool with it. Replaces Josh Green as captain of the Barons??? Seems like he can be a fit on the 4th line as a call up. Good for depth.

He and Arcobello will probably be a good pair in OKC.

Hamilton had a hatty(with every goal assisted on by Arco) in the AHL all-star game last year.

Not only are these good depth signings, they're good character signings.

Players like Acton and Hamilton worked their ***** off under Eakins to improve as much as possible. You're not going to get 'quit' out of these players wherever they play--they're model professionals, and that's good for our players to witness be it in the NHL or AHL.

Or promote them both to the NHL

Every game begins with a fourth line hat trick!

I actually like this.. Hamilton could be a solid 13-14th forward.

Good signing. I've been a fan since I made an all Ryan team a while back. It doesn't hurt to sign an AHL captain and someone that we are familiar with.

I bet Eakins personally requested him and Will Acton.

2nd best signing of the day after Ference (would be Gordon if not for $)

Guy is full of heart, great on the PK

Great AHL forward. Consistent point producer at that level and from all accounts is a source of leadership.

At the NHL level he's a 4th line forward. Will bang bodies, play tough (not an enforcer though), and do all the little things needed to win. (Chip pucks deep, take a hit to make a playe, etc.) Not going to do much offensively, but he's atleast offensively competent.

I have no issue with this signing either, so long as he doesn't see much action at the NHL level.

If he has the skill of Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and the size of Curtis Hamilton, this may be the most important signing of the offseason!

I like this signing and it sounds like Eakins is a big fan of the guy. He has size and a little bit of scoring ability so he should definitely be in competition for a 4th line spot.
