Excited to see Nystrom play. Hope he signs an ELC after the tryout (if he's good enough).

Is that the good nystrom or the bad, long shot nystrom? Or am I confused like a hooker the day after mardi-gras

He is the project Nystrom we drafted in the 7th round in 2012

This will definitely add some more intrigue. Long shots always make for some good stories

Apparently he was very impressive in the summer camp. I love the move, try-out with Martin Lapointe keeping an eye can only do him good.

A bit off topic but is Collberg playing for the Dogs this year or wasting another year in Sweden?

another year in Sweden, but I wouldn't call it wasting another year.

Really glad Nystrom is coming over. He will add some good scoring to Hamilton and could end up being a real surprise of a player.

Dang.

Yeah I guess wasting a poor choice of words. I was just hoping to see him play / get a top 6 role.

While I as well would have liked to have seen him in Hamilton but as we saw with Silfverberg once a prospect from Sweden is really ready to come over they step in the lineup right away and make a difference.

I liked what I saw from him in the 2 games he played for the Dogs, so I would have liked to see him there but I also don't like 19 year olds in the AHL so with the WJC's in Sweden, better to leave him there and then bring him over at the end of the season perhaps or next summer.

I like the idea of a 25 game tryout so if he's not ready a la Avtsin he can go back to Sweden without hurting his development. But this is the smallest news, Chaput is back! Can't wait to see him on the PP again for no damn reason.

He most likely will, I just never saw anything impressive enough in his game to bring him back.

I hated Stortini so much, I lowered his overall stat to the lowest. (36 if i am not mistaken) and free agent-ed him so that I never had to see him again. Also on the OT how did he even have a higher overall then Parros? one still plays pro the other is Stortini.

I'm sure Lefebvre will make him a place in the first PP unit again
