The D, by a substantial margin.

I think the d as I personally don't see the forwards hitting their potential, so I'm looking at a couple 3rd line centers

I'm excited for the forwards because I don't have the same expectations for them as I do for the defensemen. I expect Ristolainen, McCabe, and certainly Pysyk to be something in the NHL. I hope Zadorov can be as well. I have more questions about the forwards hitting benchmarks, so if they do, it will for me be more exciting.

Defense. Can't wait to see em go. Especially Pysyk and Zadorov cause he's a mean hitter and Pysyk is calm and just...cerebral

Too difficult to pick. Each group has an excellent blend of size, skill and compete.

I went with offense because I enjoy watching the offense more than the defense but I appreciate a good defense because the best offense is a good defense.

I agree with this. I think the D will be fine. If the forwards deliver anywhere near their potential, we have a chance to be an elite team (a few years down the road) for years to come.

I am far more interested in the offense....there is more uncertainty there.

the defesne is more certain/safer...but it will take some time. also given what they already have I am not as worried. Right now 3 of the 6 Dmen slots are set for the next few years in Myers, Ehrhoff, and Weber...then the other 3 will be filled by those 4 plus McNabb, McBain, Talinder, and a few others

I voted for the defense over the offense and I generally favor forwards over defense in prospect rankings. The D group is safer imo. Grigorenko has the highest potential to bust and become a Viktor Kozlov 2.0. Armia has had his work effort questioned. Girgs and Larsson are pretty safe at this point and have great attitudes and leadership. The defense are all known as hard workers and uber talented. Defense wins championships.
The offense has more potential but higher bust potential.

I went offense simply because the potential there is higher, maybe single-handedly because of Grigs. If He and one other guy end up being anywhere close to what they're projected to be, that's a big win.

Could be a potential pairing down the road.
