I went with Vanelli. Lehtera should be next.

Still a close race between Lundström, Vanelli or even Fairchild for me, going with Lundström because I think he is as good as Binnington.

Why do you have him ranked so high? He is one of our most recent draft picks and still has a long way till he even touches NHL ice. All players ahead of him are closer than he is.

I think its because after Jaskin its very tight and if you mix those guys and include Vanelli and Lundström you couldn't make a big mistake.

But I also think he belongs where he will end up, probably #11 and you had him too high.

Carrier is currently ranked 6th and he was just drafted as well, so it's not really that insane for someone to be that high on Vanelli either..

And yeah I'm aware of the forward vs. d-man thing. Point still stands.

Vanelli for me. Good spot for a long range project who I definitely will be watching for this year. I kind of wonder how much ice time he will get though with the core the University of Minnesota already has. Outside of a few games with the US Nat'l Development team albeit good numbers, he really hasn't played against any upper tier talent. http://www.firstroundbust.com/2013/0...school_20.html interesting article on Vanelli and why we should be cautious.

Not sure why Colton Parayko isn't starting to get some attention too. 4 goals and 13 assists in his freshman year at Alaska Fairbanks isn't too shabby.

I have Petteri Lindbohm rated higher too after a super showing at the world juniors as their captain being +8 in 6 games and playing in a pro league in Finland. He looks like a good late round find.

I think Veilleux is close here, but Vannelli gets my vote.

Went with Vannelli here, but I'm starting to wonder if Parayko will start to move up these rankings when the season gets underway. I find it odd that there is that much difference between Hakanpaa and Parayko.

I just really like his game. he already has good defensive and offensive instincts and is a great skater. watching jay bo this year kind of proved to me how much of an asset that can be for a blue liner. but I think that carrier is fine in the sixth spot, as I think and of our 6-11 spots have a reasonable argument to be in the sixth spot

and looking at these polls im starting to realize the strength our prospect pool has. I think some of the guys we have left would be top 5 prospects for some other teams, which is pretty impressive since they cant make the top 10 for us.

Going with Vannelli again. Then Fairchild, Parayko and Lundstrom.

I really think Veilleux and Kurker are ahead of Lundstrom and Farichild IMO.

I see Veilleux more in a grinder role in the NHL. I don't know though they all have their own question marks. It's tough for me as I think Fairchild is the closest of them to the NHL. Though I think in the NHL Fairchild would be a bottom pairing guy similar to Russell. Kurker might have the most upside for me but I'm not to sure he'll reach it. I have very limited knowledge on Lundstrom so I can't comment to much on him.

After looking at Lundstrom stats they are not overly impressive. He's a goalie though so team can make huge difference so without seeing him play I can't have much of an opinion he did seem to play well in the WJC though.

Veilleux has strong NHL potential, but it is almost certainly in a lower 6 role. I really like the kid and he gets strong consideration going forward.

Agreed, he did a very nice job last year in his brief AHL stint.

I'm also curious on Cody Beach, the kid has proved to be a decent fighter and has even scored at both the ECHL and AHL levels. I think he could be a decent bottom line guy.

Grachev has really fallen out of the conversation almost entirely. I'm disappointed at how his development has turned out. After his tantalizing training camp a couple years ago, I thought he was the top couple offensive call-ups, and a guy that could realistically slot into the 4th line, too. Now? He doesn't seem to fit into the long-term plans whatsoever.

Thus why he was traded in the first place. The Blues were just hoping a change of scenery would do him well because he busted with the Rangers... but that change didn't benefit him.

I think Andronov needs to be getting a little more attention now. He's certainly a bottom 6 energy/role player, but the likelihood of him making the NHL is probably higher than most of the prospects remaining on the list. He's fast, has good size, plays with a bit of an edge, and is responsible defensively...basically exactly what we look for in a 4th liner. Our 4th line is stacked, but I could see Andronov replacing Cracknell if the Blues choose not to re-sign Cracknell next offseason.

For some reason he just can't score at the AHL level even. He actually has a lot of tools and talent. I think he could be a decent 4th liner I think he gets stuck in the AHL because people are hopeful he can find his scoring touch.

Why is #11 sitting here for day after day when there's no race at all, when, on the other hand, I missed coming to this forum for only one day, and didn't even get a chance to vote on #7 ??? There's something unfair here.
