Thompson. I think he could turn out nicely but it might take a lot of time. He's got potential to be a second pairing type of player IMO.

No Caser? Bobkov is missing his vote.

Sarault.

His hockey sense and vision are very good.

Very interested to see what this kid does in a full season in the AHL...Could see him putting up some pretty big point totals this year.

This
I think he needs to add a little size, though.

He should be a 2nd line center who can play in all situations there. I wonder who will he be paired with. Wagner and Friberg?

For some reason I have no idea who Thompson is or when we drafted him. Completely gone by me.

Time to do some research.

3d round this year. Left handed defenseman. Doesn`t stand out with anything, is more of a all-around defenseman. Was invited (but is already cut) to WJC U20 USA camp. He barely was eligible to this years draft (by 1 day IIRC) so he still might have time to put it all together. Is not very big.

Ohh, okey. Strange how I completely forgot about him after the draft, must have been half asleep when following the draft and looking him up. Sounds like could be a steal or could be a wasted pick.

Don't we have enough small defensemen already?

He's not that small. Roughly the same height and weight as Fowler when he was drafted. Provided he fills out he'll be slightly above average.

Even though Beauch is much havier, he is also a 6`0 but that doesn`t look like a problem for him. Actually both have drafted in 3d round. Both seems to be physical, can play in all situations.

And for his PM ability ExitDose mentioned - yes it could be one of his strengts maybe. I also have read good things about it (or his skating actually), but i won`t argue as i have never seen him play

So he won`t attend camps either as he is going to college. We will have to wait!

He can still attend camp. He just has to pay his way there.

Does college players ever do that? I can`t recall anything. And isn`t college season already underway at that point?

Every now and then it happens but it's rare. And no the College season normally starts in early to mid October.

Thompson. Crazy that Sarault and O'Brien are on the outside.

And Cramarossa, who IMO has a pretty good chance at being a good fourth line centerman. Also pretty crazy that a most recent third rounder barely makes a team's top 20.
