do your shins cover your calf?

All my life i've had shins that don't cover my calf but i'm seeing them more often now that cover the calf.

Anyone find this comfortable?

Thinking of getting this type of shins since pucks off the calf really hurt.

Mine cover most of the calf with wrap-around foam. Seems like a common sense protective measure.

I just wish they'd figure out how to properly protect the top of the knees. Those little flaps don't always get it done when you're on your knees blocking a shot.

I have the calf wrap on mine as well; they're comfy enough that I don't notice them to think anything about it.

Yeah in one of my first few games I got hit by a puck back there on a clearing and it really stung, so I went out and got shinpads that wrapped around the back. I've been perfectly fine with them but I don't think I've actually been hit there again in the 5 years since...

I've never had anything but, so I don't know what it's like to be without them. Never felt uncomfortable!

I have had calf protecting ones the whole time, never slowed me down, always been good against pucks and idiots trying to make a dumb point by slashing your calves.

Mine have a wrap that goes around the back of my leg. It's not very thick but it turns a mega hurt into a smaller one if I get hit there, I guess.

I wear Easton S17s I took the calf guards off, and I just have a thick elastic wrap that goes around the back of my calf. I haven't had any problems as of yet. My edge socks are a little bit loose though...
