Create a Divisional Team with rules (READ OP):

I was bored and so I decided to build teams based on the new divisions.

The rules are as follows:

1. Must be cap compliant.

2. Must have a maximum of one ELC.

3. Your top 7/8 (depending on division) forwards have to be from different teams. (i.e. one player from each team).

4. Your top 6 Defense and 2 goalies all have to be from different teams (i.e. one player from each team). In the case of 7 team division, you can double up once, but it can't be a starting goalie or a top 4 Dman. - Meaning you must make the 2nd player from that team the backup goalie or a 5th or 6th dman.

5. Keep things realistic. No having Giroux on the third line. Your lines should be basically realistic. Meaning your 3rd line should have 3rd liners. My rule of thumb was that a team could be as good as Pittsburgh, meaning that you could have two dominant centres if you wanted. But not three.

For rules 3/4 I wanted to provide an example:

Lw: Oilers-C: Canucks-RW: Kings
Lw: Flames-:C: Sharks-RW Ducks

etc. Same thing with D/Goalie.

Without further ado, I present to you:

Taylor Hall ($6.000m) / Henrik Sedin ($6.100m) / Justin Williams ($3.650m)

Now, you need to be a big hockey nerd to do this (luckily I am), but I am wondering if anyone wants to take the time to make their own divisional teams without using any of the same players that I did, and create a team they think can defeat mine (Pacific vs pacific, etc).

It was fun making these teams. I go a little squirrelly without hockey in the summer.

This was very tough to put together. Especially because you took some of the more cap-friendly contracts in Giroux, Tavares, Atkinson, Letang and Alzner.

Matt Moulson ($3.133m) - Sidney Crosby ($8.700m) - Jakub Voracek ($4.250m)
Patrik Elias ($5.500m) - Nicklas Backstrom ($6.700m) - Jiri Tlusty ($1.600m)
Carl Hagelin ($2.250m) - Sean Couturier ($1.375m) - Jared Boll ($1.050m)
Matt Martin ($1.000m) - Brian Boyle ($1.700m) - Maxime Talbot ($1.750m)
Jack Skille ($0.675m) - Drayson Bowman ($0.600m)

Jack Johnson ($4.357m) - Dan Girardi ($3.325m)
Rob Scuderi (3.375m) - John Carlson ($3.967m)
Erik Gustaffson ($1.000m) - Matt Carkner ($1.500m)
Justin Falk ($0.975m)

Cory Schneider ($4.000m)
Anton Khudobin ($0.800m)

SALARY CAP: $64.300m / CAP PAYROLL: $63.552m / CAP SPACE: $0.748m
