I think most agree that these designs are definitey better than the black and red Rigas delta, but it's moot because the Sabres have plans independent from the Celsius proposition for a move back to the blue and gold. I guess they're similar to what's on that site - giving the old logo a facelift with different blue and gold hues - but unique in their own right.
Re: a sticky on the topic, I don't think it is a good idea.
The matter doesn't come up so often as to be a problem, nor enough that a sticky would better keep the order. We'd end up with a little-used sticky about a topic we're probably all sour on.
But since I'm already here, I don't like the new jerseys. The Celsius designs are very good in my opinion but could use tweaking. Either way I think it is certain at this point that particular design firm won't be used. I'm fine with something more closer to the traditional jersey or a more updated version a la Celsius.

I agree about the sticky, probably unnecessary. My thinking for a sticky would be for the question "Why are the Sabres' Jerseys an issue for you?" as there has been an ongoing cycle for discussion on this topic for so long, here and in other forums. Maybe the fact the same ground has been covered and re-covered so often just makes it seem to me like it's always being talked about.
I have met John on numerous occasions through the design world, he is a fan of the team and i honestly think his designs are pretty solid. They look a helluva lot better than the goat head that is in place now.
I don't even know why the Sabres changed their colours and logo, the logo change was fine with me, but when they changed the colours i was ticked off...i mean red/black/white with gray...not really new age colours 3 teams already had pretty much the same colour scheme.
I only like the Devils having those colours, when i think of a devil i think black and red, not green and red, thats christmas.
