Ok guys, so it's a week away until we get our copies of NHL 14, and I got a few questions for you all regarding the creation of the league:
1. Should I make the league as soon as NHL 14 comes out and wait until everyone has joined then we play our games
2. Make the league when the first NHL Roster Update comes in and then wait for people to join up then play our games
I'm good with either, however, I'd rather it be sooner than later. Cast your vote in as 1 or 2 and Ronik and I will count the votes.
If you have any suggestions or ideas to make this league more fun than it is already, tell us your ideas and we can consider them.
Commissioner Goldleader7 aka. Paralyzer
Edit: I am also aware that some of us might not get the copy the day it comes out and I am ok with that. If you are getting your copy later in the week, let Ronik or I know ASAP so we can plan accordingly.
Ok, well, it's looking like people want to wait until Beginning of the NHL season. So I will do some research on when the final roster update is and then at the time of the update, I will create the league.
In the mean time, Ronik and I will be playing around with GM Connected and see what has changed and do some beta testing before we get this up and running.
One team left, and that is Buffalo. Anyways, just made a league on the early release, hope it stays the same, but the league starts at Sept 28-29, allowing for players to join without anyone playing any games the only downside is, you can't view your teams until I sim to the start of season (one sim). At least we can get people in with no problems. Everything else looks the same and I think the load times will be a little bit faster, at least they were for me. The commissioner also gets a scheudle, (maybe all members do) that way you can see which games have been played for the current week(s). Another new feature for trading, you are now able to retain players contracts up to 50% twice in a trade. (meaning two players). This should make trades more salary compliant and allow players to make the trades they want instead of giving up picks or making unnecessary trades.
