I think this should be in the International Tournaments section as they have been in the past.

Yep, I guess it's better there, I asked mod to move it.

Gustafsson won with a takedown. He was down on the ice at first and Tyrväinen was just whaling away. No respect.

Hope Kilpeläinen is ok. He was playing great up untill the injury. Was keeping Jokerit in the game almost singlehandedly. But a really entertaining game with qyite a few scrums and a fight to top it all off. Frölunda looked great considering it's their first game of the year.

Frölunda also played last Thursday against Växjö.

I agree about Kilpeläinen, he was unbelievable for Jokerit.

It was a draw with no major punches landed. Tyrväinen controlled the whole fight more and Gustafsson just got the takedown.

Wailing away? LOL, that's funny plus you don't get hockey fight wins by takedowns or is that a new Swedish system?

But anyways Frölunda was better team on the ice. Jokerit looked still rusty but Kilpeläinen and Moses looked great. Jokerit definately was missing quality centres: Eaves and Teräväinen.

Sorry, meant whaling. Getting five or six freebies in when the other guy is lying down isn't exactly winning a fight either. That was just total bush league **** by Antti Tyrväinen. Once both fighters were on their feet, it was an even bout, then Gustafsson took him down. That's a win.

It's not. You don't decide a hockey fight winner by who gets a takedown. Punches count. Always have.

Tyrväinen hold back those freebies as it seemed he doesn't want to hit his knuckles to helmet. Gustafsson threw some freebies too when Tyrväinen was on ice.

Yeah don't know about this. Is this something finnish hockey decided? Even if you're slightly behind, if you do the take down, you win. End of story.

I get you are mad swedish teams domianted, but come on.

It is pre-season, it means nothing, even clubs dont care as many swedish/finnish HFB-rs said. End of discussion.

oh really?

KHL has money. Sweden has no will. Without KHL there will be no tournament. Forget champions league. Only champions league if KHL wants.

Seriously you guys can't be serious. Go read some hockeyfights.com or dropyourgloves.com and teach yourselves or even some fight threads in HFB etc. (Edit. It's not that difficult to wrestle the opponent down, getting punches in though is more difficult.)

And I'm not even mad. Indians were better team and the fight was a clear DRAW.

Jokerit lineup against Färjestad:

Lahti-Teräväinen-Moses
Hardt-Hahl-Rita
Ruutu-Mäki-Mustonen
Hännikäinen-Salminen-Lamberg/Henritius

Väänänen-Kousa
Eronen-Dehner
Niemi-Manninen/Lindbohm

Korpisalo
Lankinen

Seems Eaves lasted all of one pre-season game before getting injured...
