Peter Mueller to Nashville

Well I've heard some good and some bad thing about Petty but he has some what of an offensive upside. He had lots of potential and still does. He could bring the extra scoring we need. He was plagued by injuries in Colorado and had a down year in Florida. Could he be a possible target to pick up before training camp

we already have too many forwards.

I cant see us adding at forward unless we either trade a couple of guys or else we acquire a "sure thing" and then move people to make room.

He won't really be a problem since he'll spend half the season on IR anyway.

Pass. I'm not even sure Mueller has potential at this point, let alone whether he can stay healthy to reach whatever it is.

In a vacuum, I'd love adding a guy like him or Linus Omark. Unless we trade a few forwards though, no room.

Yep...Same answer as Brunner and Grabo. No vacancy.

No vacancy right now. For Poile to bring in another forward requires at least one, most likely two, forwards heading elsewhere. Spaling is expendable from a Preds perspective. Smith might benefit from a change of scenery. We'll see how things shake out between now and the start of the season.

It's too bad we're overloaded, because Grabovski, Mueller, Brunner, and Omark all would be intriguing options to add.

The Ads have Tousignant.

The issue is that most of the Preds forwards are on one way contracts which means their full cap hit applies no matter what league they play in. There is no cap relief for burying a guy in the minors under the latest CBA. Beck probably gets sent back to Milwaukee simply due to his two way contract and the fact he isn't exposed to waivers yet.

Which sucks for Beck. He has nothing to gain in Milwaukee. He's one of our better offensive players.

Agreed. I really wish we had space to put him on a line with Wilson this year.

As many have said, no room, but personally I'd like a healthy Mueller on the squad.
