Yes he can totally be. He wouldn'ty have been good enough for the AHL, and wouldn't have been too great in the ECHL for that matter.
I'm happy he got send down to hopefully play big minutes and get his development back on the right track.
I agree. Things can change quite fast though. Seemed to be a troublemaker and then Hay makes him his Captain. Okay so surely, he is surely the oldest player in his squad but I doubt that Hay would still have made him a captain if he'd be disruptive to a locker room. He do need to establish himself this year though and be a factor. If so, he re-enters as a really capable d-man for our team.
watched the Drakkar/Sags game. Grégoire with another impressive game, he should have had 2 goals but I guess they changed the official scoring. Both goals were scored by him going hard to the net and putting in a rebound.
Hudon had 2 assists but wasn't overly impressed with him again. He doesn't seem as involved in the game as he was in the games I saw last year. Last year he also seemed to always keep his feet moving and this year in the 2 games I've seen he doesn't seem to have the same energy. Anyone hear if his back is still bothering him?
I don't know if I can do the dog year/human year conversion of Thrower's overager stats but I'm guessing if he can put up points fairly steadily and can dominate that he can still be considered a worthwhile prospect.
I'm always biasedly optimistic but having a bad year last year might even help Thrower in his development. I just like his skill set too much to give up on him.
NCAA season about to begin. Some exhibition games starts today. Pretty eager to see most of our prospects, from where Didier is at, to what will be Sullivan's role this year. But most important is to see how Bennett will do and how MacMillan will develop. Cichy....well I'm not expecting him to be signed so don't really have an interest....but he's the first one playing tonight.
Rooting for MacMillan to get back on track. Really liked his freshman season.
Not expecting a big year from the Sioux this year though. MacMillan comes in as the 2nd best scorer of the team behind Grimaldi. So luckily enough, he will have plenty of icetime. As far as the freshmen, pretty hyped to see what Adam Tambellini will do...wanted him with the Habs.
Defensive isn't bad...isn't great either. And goalies are okay but not much. Really not expecting a whole lot this year....so they can only surprise me. Offense this year, aside from Grimaldi and MacMillan won,t be pretty but they will surely be working for their goals.
