Amerks re-aligned

http://www.theahl.com/AHL/News/2005/06/28/1108513.html

North Division:

Rochester
Toronto
Hamilton
Manitoba
Cleveland
Syracuse
Grand Rapids

No Bingo - not even in the same conference any more. Same with Hershey. So much for rivalries.

Binghamton never was in the Amerks conference. You can't argue with staying in the west since so many west teams dropped out.

The schedule is a slight, and I mean very slight improvement over last season. At least we see some new teams. But yet again no NE teams. But Syracuse of course gets some. For being in the league for as long as the Amerks have, they must have absolutely no seniority.

I wish that the amerks would play teams up here like Lowell, Wochesteror even Manchester, even just once or twice. I'd lover to see some of the talent and can't get to Western NY very often.

The AHL tends not to give a fig about what conference/division teams are in when scheduling games. Syracuse and Rochester will both play Bingo and Hershey multiple times.

I have a hard time understanding how Manitoba fits in there.

Yeah there was alot of team movement. Mostly in the western conference.

No Edmonton Roadrunners, no Las Vegas, no cinni. Dam ALL the relatively easy teams to win.

And new teams like iowa, omaha, and peoria.

No we have grand rapids in our division, dont know how that will affect us.

Me personally hate the way the divisions are aliegned. We should be in the same divison as albany, and bingmanton. We shouldnt have to go all the way to edmonton and manatoba. THats too far away. I believe only the west division teams get compensated for travel tho anyone could correct me on this.

ANd how the heck is albany now in the atlantic but bridgeport whos closer to the other teams arents.

I just found out that we went from 6 games playing Albany TO TWO>>>>>>>

I am from New Jersey so Albany was only 90 mins away so i was able to see Rochester play Albany. 10 dollars seats were 5 rows from the ice on weds nights... you cant beat that.

I am very disappointed that the people who decide these schedules hmmm fill in the blank

I think you meant Utah (Salt Lake City), but yeah, I know what everyone's saying. Me living in CT I'd love to see the Amerks stack up against teams like Bridgeport, Hartford, Springfield, Providence, Lowell, and Manchester - AT ALL....and dropping down to 2 games against Albany is BS as well
