  1. Kolanos
  2. Tjutin (sp?)
  3. Gomez
All of these likely require other parts, but are excellent starts.

When and if the OIL trade Comrie, I would like to see them get a BIG center back....here's my three:

1.Olli Jokinen 6'3" 208 lbs

2.David Legwand 6'2" 190 lbs

3.Michal Handzus 6'5" 217 lbs

Honorable mention (not overly big, same size as Mike, also an Edmonton boy)

Daymond Langkow 5'11" 183 lbs

Don't rip me to hard because I could'nt find these players saleries!

Thanks

I think Chistov would be good - but we need a center. Handzus would be ok, but he's kinda slow..... what would FLA need for Kozlov though? Izzy-Kozlov-Dvorark sounds like a killer second line to me!

I'd say tht you simply have to see more of him if that's the case. Legwand would be a great fit in EDM.

I'm also kind of surprised that some would rather see Lundmark here than Stefan (not that I necessarily think either is a "great" fit for Comrie), but of the 2 my take would be Stefan, hands down, over Lundmark. Shows how people can have different takes though, I guess.

Scatchard

P.S. I know we all heard the rumour Chistov for Comrie but I think it's unrealistic the Ducks fans would revolt in their page they are debating if they would trade Chistov for GABORIK!!!let alone Comrie.

Ducks fans don't call the shots.

I don't like the Niinimaa deal but it still happened.

Potential is nice, but it's worth noting that Comrie has 2 50+ point seasons and Chistov has none. And I'm not saying that I'd make that move if I were the Ducks either, but just because Ducks fans on a prospect board don't like it doesn't mean it wouldn't happen in real life (doesn't mean that it would happen either, of course).

Like to add something:

The 3 I think Comrie might fetch:

1. Stefan & change
2. Lundmark and additional change
3. Weiss and significant change (maybe a decent defender... Biron?)

The 3 I'd want:

1. Boynton (oh, baby it keeps coming back to this. The longer he is
not signed in Boston, the more excited I get).

2. Stefan & change (I really think this guy would tap his offensive
potential in Edmonton. He and Dvorak could be
dynamite together).

3. Hartnell (Lowetide, if you're right on this one....! This guy is only
21/22 and is going to be the power forward Isbister never
will. Mikhnov's stock is rising with decent play in Russia.
Can you imagine a future left side of Smyth, Hartnell,
Mikhnov and Torres! Could easily represent one of the best
left sides in the league IF Mikhnov pans out.

Here are some random ones...

Marco Sturm and Scott Hannan for Comrie and Rita (sharks need more forward depth that is young and capable of scoring, trade depends on how Wilson sees Rita shaping up as a player)

Boynton + for Comrie

and finally

Taffe and Ference for Comrie and a low pick or prospect

you rarely see a dman for dman trade, or a goalie for goalie trade. With this in mind, the oilers seem to be solid in net and forwards, therefore a dman will be coming back.

1. Legwand: He could be the big 1st line center we've needed

2. Chistov: Just as much potential as Hemsky. Having them on the same line would be awesome!

3. Scatchard: I've wanted this guy in Oiler silks for a long time now, but he would be more suited for the second line.

At the same time, though, that's like saying that Hemsky doesn't have any 50 point seasons either. And right now, as far as most people are concerned, Chistov more or less equals Hemsky. Would you trade Hemsky for Comrie?

I would love to see Chistov come here, but the more I think about it, the more unrealistic I think it is.

Scatchard has been brought up, and although I'm not his biggest fan here, if the Oilers could get him and Robert Nilsson (who I've heard the Oilers love), I'd do it. It doesn't help much with the forward problem, though.

I wouldn't, but I'm not the Ducks the GM, that's the whole point. ANA appears to be looking to win now more so than EDM, Comrie might help them to that end and it's not at all like he's old at 23.

Yep, it all rests on the GM, and what he thinks will help his team, depending on what he's looking for. That's why we have to be careful when we say something like "That trade would never happen."

Take Niinimaa, for example. I would have thought he'd have been one of the last Oilers to be traded, but obviously Lowe was thinking differently. He wanted Isbister and Torres to come here more than he wanted Niinimaa to stay here. So, you're right... we shouldn't discount anything.

I'm not a fan of Scatchard either, but Robert Neilsson He's the trigger guy that this team has been waiting for.

3 years from now:
Neilsson - Ninimakki - Hemsky

Can someone please tell what Stefan has ever accomplished at the NHL level that would at all justify a straight up deal with Comrie?

How about we spend a little less time trying to get a large piece of crap on skates, and maybe someone who could possibly help the team in at least a small way.

I mean, why not just give Comrie away, at least you wouldn't have to pay the salary of Jason Bonsignore part 2.
