No sloppy cardigans, golf shirts or crap. We pay your salary, now look the part. Golf shirts are not formal enough for service staff, especially Public Service staff. Not Canadian. Not impressed. Hong Kong government staff take pride in their dress, and act accordingly. They were taught well by the English overlords. And they like it.

2. However: I don't blame them on the colour. Toronto is navy blue colours, whites, and some rusty reds for the street cars.It is not Crimson and bright Royal blue, which is french. The 'designer' is an idiot.

3. And more on the 'designer': The design sketch is a ****ing joke. A blurry 'something' in blurry 'outfit'. WTF? Amateur hour. I would think that in Toronto they might actually have a big fashion house or two that could actually draw a human being in uniform. Look at the drawings for Montreal's Olympic uniforms in 76 for god's sake, they were fantastic.

You don't get out much do you? Being a Habs fan in Toronto is definitely not 'rare'. You'd be surprised how many Toronto-born people that are Montreal Canadiens fans.

""We're in a rebuilding process and we in Toronto like to look forward. We like to think about the future and move forward," he said." This is gold!

Yeah there's a lot of us who were born in TO, but are Habs fans.

As for the topic, kind of funny. But you know if the situation was reversed, the transit workers in MTL would do the exact same thing.

That shirt is ugly and it's only red and blue.

Wouldn't mind a bit, the Bruins have the best colour scheme in hockey.

Aside from being red and blue, they look nothing like Habs jerseys.

Convenient use of The Rivalry to rouse support for Comrade Kinnear .

It's ugly but a lot of people have to wear ugly uniforms to make a living. Don't bring the Habs into it ****head.

Haha actually found this funny.

I think they are refusing it due to the culture of the rivalry, which I find to be one of the best in sports. They associate that color with the Habs.

They should just wait till the Leafs make the playoffs again in 10 years and they're all outside the ACC having a party, then have the vote on the colours. No one would care and everyone can go right along living their lives.
