I think it was BASE that Alexei Kovalev was telling me about... he said that the guy who used to design his Warrior sticks left Warrior (or got fired?) and started up BASE and now that's all he uses.

Yes... I used to have regular conversations with Kovy lol and no I'm not lying.

BASE has a number of authorized dealers around the country that can fit you.

I believe senior sticks are about $200 and IMO they compare comparably to the top end sticks of the major OEMs.

Never went to a fitting session, but I did however use the very first model of their stick. Was nice, and for $150 (price at the time) was a good bargain too. Shot was decent with it, but my stick handling, and passing excelled with it. If I didn't use top of line sticks now they would probably be my go to. The ability to customize a stick to your personal liking for a half the price of Bauers/CCM/Easton/etc, in minor hockey was awesome. Use it for the outdoor rink now even though the blade feels broken inside.

For how it compares to the top brands well......I'd still go with the top brands every time if you can afford it, or have the option to use them. But don't think of that as a negative for BASE.

I forgot to add that the cost of the stick includes customization (colors, name and number, logo).

I use them - went away from the major brands (bauer, easton, etc...) to BASE simply because of the flexibility of getting exactly what I want/need at a decent price.

However, never been fitted as there were no fitting centers in my area at the time.

What's interesting is that every now and then they will have special prices for existing customers on test sticks, etc... that are way under what they would normally sell for.
